Bo Bunny and Bat Stickers

Couldn't pass up these cute stickers at Michael's this week.  They are paired with paper by Bo Bunny.  Words are by Cat's Pajamas.  The orange was toned down by sponging some black over the edges of the paper.

Deep Red Steampunk

It was a grand time at Angela's Happy Stamper Store yesterday celebrating our 10th anniversary.  Lots of fun, food, free give aways, and two new stamp companies to our store.  Here is a sample I made with one of the stamps from Deep Red.  She's paired with Graphic 45 paper and some gears by Tim Holtz.  Some Pearlescent Beige Brillance was sponged over the card.

Embossed Impression Obsession Card

Embossing rocks!  Had lots of fun combining colors here.  Our big day is here and I'm off to show  all the wonders of embossing.  Hope to see you at Angela's Happy Stamper between 10 and 5 today.  We're celebrating 10 years!  Time flies when you're having fun!
The embossing parts were layered onto a Gelli print done on printed paper.

Embossed Impression Obsession

I'm finishing up my last samples for the demo on embossing powders at Angela's Happy Stamper store on Saturday.  It's a free demo along with three other demos happening in the morning.  Hope you can come join us if you're in the area.  Wow embossing powder was used on this solid stamp.  Come see how this card was made!

Graphic 45 Halloween Card

Besides doing fun projects provided by Donna, my emphasis at the retreat was on getting Halloween cards done.  Got off to a good start by combining some Graphic 45 papers and added a fence by Memory Box done with a die.  Inside the stamp says, "Passing by to wish you a Happy Halloween" by Northern Woods.

Pink Ink Window

Here is another card we did at the retreat that Donna got ready for us.  We used colored pencils to color in the card.  The words are by Rubber Moon.

Stampendous Halloween Card

Had a great time last weekend at a crafting retreat in VA.  It rained the whole time-no problem! More time for stamping!  Besides working on lots of our own projects, we got a chance to do some fun projects by our fearless leader, Donna Kauffman.  A woman of many talents ( yes, she's the same Donna K who writes romance novels-check and see if you have one of her books) she created this card for us to do.  It was so nice to have a chance to do some fun projects that someone else prepared!  All I had to do is color and tape it together.  Ok, I did add the ribbon!

Verses Get Well Card

A quick card here using up some of my paper scraps.  Added a few paper flowers and some gems.  My "get well" card stash is rather depleted, so I'm working on restocking the pile.

Holographic Paper

How's this for bright and cheery?  It's actually not as sparkely here as it is in person-seriously.  The words are by Verses and stamped on white metallic paper.  The background was sprayed with Dylusion sprays and a Crafters Workshop star stencil was laid over the sprayed area and misted with water.  Once dry, it was mounted onto the holographic metallic paper.  Last, a glue pen was traced around the stars and the words.  Then loose glitter was poured over the card.

River City Card

Isn't this a great stamp?  It puts a smile on my face.  What a great one for any celebratory occasion!  The white paper is actually a metallic paper.  So is the gray for the champagne glasses.  The glasses were done on the Accu-cut machine.  It's hard to see in the picture here, but a few small dots of iridescent glitter glue were dotted above the glasses to look like bubbles.

Verses Stamp

We just got in a shipment of stamps from Verses.  They focus on message stamps only.  I really like their sayings and can't seem to resist a few more when ever we get some in.  I've seen this message before so it was a thrill to see it in stamp form.  The large heart was punched out.  A white pen added the designs.

Art Impression Embossed Tree

Know how you have an idea for a card in your head and when you go to do it, something completely different comes out?  Well, you are looking at one here. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow.  What doesn't show up well is the design stamp on the left that was Versamarked onto the red paper.  What also didn't show up well, is that there is a mix of iridescent glitter mixed in with the white embossing powder.  But, I'm in the flow so we're just going with it!

Zentangle Pumpkins

Found this card I did last year.  Am posting it again because it's one of my favorite fall card.  The pumpkins are free hand drawn.  Color was added with Copic markers.  Each pumpkin was cut out and then all placed together on this card.  Words are by Rubbermoon.

Embossed Metallic Card

Got lots of metallic going on in this card.  The wheat shafts were inked with a gold metallic pad.  The words were embossed with gold embossing powder.  The card the words are on was outlined with a gold Krylon pen.  All of this is mounted onto a metallic gold paper and wrapped with gold thread.  Guess you could say this card is golden!

Rubber moon card

A customer was looking through the Rubber Moon catalog the other day.  I love their images so I was "back seat" looking with her doing a good job of distracting her as I pointed out all the images I love.  This card has one of my favorites.  She was inked with a black ink and then colored in with water base markers.

Graphic 45 Birthday

This card was made for a friend of mine.  She loves this color blue.  In fact, she loves all bright colors.  So the new Bohemian line of Graphic 45 seemed the perfect pick.  Added some flowers and a brad to hold them together, and it was ready to go.

Embossed Hero Arts Witch

Hero Arts has a clear Halloween set which includes this witch and these words.  They were both embossed with black embossing powder.  Around the witch some Distress purple ink was sponged on.  The die is by Memory Box.

Impression Obsession Apples

September makes me always think of apples.  So, I went looking for this stamp when September rolled around.  The image was inked with a black dye ink and stamped.  Then everything was colored in with Copic markers.  Some extra sponging of color was added around the image and also on the printed paper.

Embossed Impression Obsession Tree

This is a collaborative piece.  Got together with some folks last night and one of the ladies was doing lots of backgrounds with the Impression Obsession "wall" stamps.  She used several Color Box Chalk colors on the leafy background.  I have been wanting to try this tree for a while.  Thought I could make it look fit for fall with the use of embossing powders.  The bottom of the tree was inked with dye black.  The top was inked with Versamark and then various colors of Zing embossing powders were sprinkled over the ink.  So the powder wouldn't fly away, it was heated from underneath the paper.  After die cutting the paper and layering it on to the card, a ribbon was added last.

Sweet N' Sassy Embossed Leaf Card

Made a great mess when doing this card, but did like the outcome.  It started with a Cuttle Bug folder.  One side was Versamarked  and then the paper was run through the machine.  Then Wow embossing powder was poured over the paper and heat set.  The leaves were die cut and covered with Versamark as well.  Three different Wow embossing powders were interspersed on the leaves.  The embossed paper was layered onto to metallic papers.  The leaves were attached with foam tape to the card.

Graphic 45 Halloween Card

Graphic 45 is coming out with another get set of new papers.  We are having a Graphic 45 week at the store to celebrate.  On Thursday, we will be doing this Halloween card using paper and stamps by Graphic 45 as our Make It Take It.  One of the many things I like about this paper company is that the prints mix and match so well.  As you can see, I love to layer up my cards.

Master Board Gelli Print Card

This is my last card for the Master Board class in October.  More sponging around the edges of the pumpkins and the words were embossed in black.  A little bit of black hemp was wrapped around the stems.

Master Board Gelli Print Card

Here is the second card for my October Master Board class.  Used more of the die cuts and also sponged some red and brown inks onto the edges of the pumkins with a sponge tool.  Used one of Tim Holtz's new stencils as well as stencils from Crafters Workshop.

Master Board Gelli Print

Have been trying to decide what to do for the Master Board class for October.  Wasn't too hard to figure out when I have all my prints sitting around me from doing Gelli prints.  As you can see, I paired the prints up with some pumpkin die cuts. Added some raffia which was glued on.

Gelli Print and Crafters Workshop Stencil

Here is another Gelli print.  There are several layers of paint and stencils to the background.  Then the 12X12 stencil of the ginkgo leaves was placed on top of the background and Versamark was pressed through the stencil.  Black embossing powder was poured over the ink and heat set.  The words (by Impression Obsession) were inked with Versafine black.  The paper was then mounted into this shadow box frame which I got on sale at our local box craft store.  Am hoping to make more framed prints to give as gifts this coming Christmas.

Gelli Print Card

Was messing around with my Gelli plate today.  Took some paper I had already done a few layers on with stencils and paint and added a few more today.  Once the background was dry, I put down the leaves and flower stencils and traced them with a Sharpie.  Extra color was added to the leaves and the flower with Copic pens. But, I was very careful with the coloring since they are alcohol based.  I knew this didn't mix well with the Sharpie and if the markers touched the black, it would smear the color.  Wanted something to cover the stems at the bottom.  I found this cloth sticker in my stash that seems to work with the colors of the card.

Art Journal Entry

We normally do a double page when doing an art journal entry, so here is the other side.  Since we'll be doing this entry in October, I wanted to give those folks who love Halloween the option to do Halloween paper rather than just fall paper.  That's why I did one page as fall, and the other as Halloween.  They stand alone ok, but I think the effect will be more dramatic if both sides were done in one theme.

Art Journal Entry

I try to get a head in my Art Journal, so when we get together for class, I can show what the next project will be.  I love all things fall, so my printed paper stash for autumn papers never seems to go down.  I just can't resist all those pretty papers!  So, I put them to good use in this fall college.  Once the papers were in, stamps were added.  Felt they needed to "pop" a bit, so the images were embossed with some clear embossing powder.

Master Board Card

This last card uses torn pieces of paper which were edged in metallic gold.  I tried just stamping the words in the same gold, but it just didn't show up well.  So, gold embossing powder was added and did just the trick.

Master Board Card

Happy September!  Here is the second card for my upcoming Master Board class.  The piece from the board was cut in a ribbon form and edged with a metallic gold.  The words are by Impression Obsession and were also edged with metallic gold.
