Graphic 45 Halloween

I'm back to my favorite paper company for this card.  Added some black silk cord and some organza ribbon to finish off this card.  Hope it's a safe and fun day for you all.

Memory Box Halloween

Truth is, I've been busy putting together a stencil and paste Christmas card class. So, for this post, I went back to one of my favorite cards from a previous year.  The stamp here is by Memory Box but there is lots of other fun things on this card.  The words are stickers, there is the clothes pin, and the great brad, and then the black organza ribbon.  Throw in some Halloween printed paper, and there you have it!

Halloween Bling

No stamping on the front of this card.  A die cut was used on Memory Box paper to create the pumpkin.  Then gem embeillishments and ribbon bats finished off the front of the card.  I used the same inside message as the one from yesterday's card.

Graphic 45 Halloween

It's time for getting Halloween cards out!  Here is one using this year's current paper by Graphic 45.  So nice to just mix and match.  A Memory Box gate die finished off the front.  Inside it says, "Just passing by to wish you a Happy Halloween".  Think the message stamp is by Northwoods.

Hero Arts Embossed Christmas card

This card will certainly put the sparkle in your holidays!  The background piece was dry embossed with a Cuttle Bug folder and then heat embossed with Wow Blue Pearl embossing powder.  The tree is by Hero Arts and was stamped with Sliver Sparkle embossing powder by Wow.  The tree piece was outlined with a silver Krylon pen and wrapped with silver ribbon.  Even though this is black paper, all the shine makes this a very festive card.

Embossed Thanksgiving card

The background of this card is a Hero Arts stamp that was embossed with Wow embossing powder and heat set.  So how to put the words on?  I chose to use a piece of vellum.  That way the colors still show through but the words can be in the middle of the card.  To secure the vellum, some Doodlbug  washi tape was used across the top of the card.  Guess you can see I'm enjoying my challenge to add color to my cards.

Impression Obsession

IO has a great clear set of  "Thankful" sayings.  This is one that is good for Thanksgiving or for a  Thank You card.  Several printed paper scraps are covering an "Inchies" board.  Then brown string was wrapped around it and knotted.  Simple, but works.

Deep Red

Here is another funny one by Deep Red that just cracked me up.  The clover was embossed in black and then colored in with a Copic marker.

Deep Red Fun Card

Deep Red is a company full of quirky and vintage stamps.  I paired the pointing finger with this fun sign.  Dye inks were used to stamp the images.  A quick and easy card.

Christmas Tree

Have you seen the molded flowers you can make with Wow embossing powder?  I saw them placed in a similar box done in the shape of a heart.  Been wanting to make one ever since I saw that one.  Since we're heading towards Christmas, decided to make a tree instead.  Once all the flowers were made, they were glued onto a purple metallic paper.  Once dry, the paper was placed in this shadow box.   The pearl powders were used and each one has a slight color to them.  The top rose was done with a silver sparkle embossing powder.

Art Journal Reinkers and Pen Page

Tomorrow is another day for Art Journals.   Been having lots of fun with folks as we add our pages.  We'll be using dye reinkers for this page, and applying additional images with the use of stencils and  permanent ink markers. Observing eyes will also notice I snuck in some zentangeling.  I'm hoping  the structure of the stencils will help ease students into zentangeling with causing any stress.

Master Board Paint Dauber and Shimmer Card

Here is the last card we'll be doing in the Master Board up coming class.  This time the shimmer paper was embossed and then a Stazon pad was lightly rubbed across the surface. The camera did a good job of picking up the shimmery colors to this card.  Will show the full board later once I make another one.  I cut up the one I made so I could use the pieces on the cards.

Master Board Paint Dauber Card

Yesterday I showed a card with three of the painted pieces.  Today four pieces are used at different positions.  More shimmer paper was used under the paint.  Words are by Impression Obsession.

Master Board Distress Daubers Card

Got some cards ready for my next Master Board class.  Had a lot of fun with Tim Holtz Distress Paint Daubers.  They were used two ways to create the board.  Once done, I cut the board up into square pieces.  Three of the pieces were mounted here.  Shimmer paper was embossed and layered under the painted pieces.

Gelli Print and Die

Just got back from some travelling.  We stayed with some friends so I needed to send a thank you note.  I had a few materials left from a recent class, so thought I'd put them to good use in creating this thank you note.  The bird is a die by Memory Box and was cut from a Gelli print as well.  It's hard to see because of  the flash, but "so very Thankful" is stamped on the front.

Mini Lesson-Stampscapes Ornament

Here is the ornament that we'll be doing for a little mini lesson at Angela's Happy Stamper store on October 22nd. Lots of sparkle and shine to this card.  Come see how to make it brighten up your holiday season.  There is a day and night class.

Wow Pearl Embossed Card

Now that I'm back in the swing of embossing, I can't seem to stop!  The Pearl embossing powders put the "wow" in Wow embossing powders.  They interact with the paper so depending on how dark the paper is, it will effect how deep the color of the powder shows up.  On black here, the purple is very vibrant.  (The background is by Deep Red)  Some lavender metallic paper was matched up with the embossing powder and used both in front of and behind the background swirls.  The words on this Verses stamp were embossed in black.

Embossing with Wow and Zing

Impression Obsession has some terrific shadow stamps.  Rather than do this one is your usual black, I thought I'd try out some fun colors.  The Wow embossing used two colors.  The Zing orange was used on the Hero Arts background.  Since I embossed the image, it was easy to add more color to the area around the boy with a Distress orange pad.  Doing a direct to paper, I dragged the pad in a circular motion around the image.  The extra dye ink was then easily wiped off the boy but very distinct on the paper.  Think this would be a card a young person would actually enjoy.

Deep Red College

Here is another stamp set by Deep Red.  Their images were all added to a post card stamp by Hero Arts.  All that was needed was some extra sponging and a little ribbon.  It was then layered onto some printed paper.

Hero Arts Leaf Sympathy

Hero Arts retired this stamp but it's a keeper for me.  I've got lots of use out it, and found a new use with this card.   It was inked with a gold metallic pad.  The words were also inked in gold.  Added the bow and it's done.  I like to keep it simple when doing sympathy cards.

Bat Card

These stickers were too cute to pass up when I saw them at Michael's Craft store.  The word stamp goes well with them.  However, it was actually a horizontal stamp.  To make it fit on my vertical card, the words were inked with a water marker one at a time.  Little dots were added to help connect the words.

Deep Red Sewing Set

All these images came together as one set.  Once stamped, creating a college was easy peasy with these images.  All were sponged with some Distress inks.  Some Hero Arts self adhesive ribbon was tucked in at the bottom.  The paper is by Graphic 45.

Graphic 45 Paper and Stickers

Here is the card I made for my Dad.  The stickers looked old fashioned which I thought my Dad would enjoy.  The paper worked well with the stickers.  There are also star stickers in the corners.  The ribbon matched the sparkle on the faces and stars.

Deep Red Sunflowers

The sunflower background stamp seemed to go well with the solo sunflower so they ended up on the same card.  They all were colored in with layers of Copics.  Behind the sunflowers is a piece stamped with two different background stamps by Impression Obsession done with chalk inks.

Halloween Brad card

Not sure if this is a Memory Box die or an Impression Obsession die.  Feel free to let me know!  The witches are from ribbon that was cut into individual pieces and glued on.  The moon, cat, and pumpkin are all brads.  Don't remember who did the stamp.

Deep Red Dress

Isn't this just a wonderful stamp?  So many possibilities!  On this card the image was embossed with red embossing powder and heat set.  Loved the embroidered ribbon that seemed to go with it.  Now to find the perfect saying to put on the inside!

Deep Red Funny Card

I can't look at this card without thinking of a friend of mine.  We seem to get ourselves into some fine messes.  Fortunately, we have come through them all and have some good memories that put a smile on my face every time I think of one of our mishaps.  This image was inked in Momento black.  Then more Momentos were sponged over the image.  Craft Life makes wonderful nesting dies which were used to create the shapes around our message.  The paper is by Doodle bug.

Deep Red Autumn Card

Angela introduced a new company to her store last Saturday.  All the stamps are deeply etched rubber cling stamps.  This is one of the many varied images.  I liked what I saw, so will have a fair amount to share over the next few weeks.  The image here was colored in with Copics.  An Impression Obsession die created the fancy side to the card.  To get the ribbon to match, yellow dye ink was sponged over the white sections.

Inka Dinka Do Stamp

The words are by Inka Dinka Do here.  The card was colored in by Copic Markers.  We did this at the retreat at the end of September and was designed by Donna Kauffman.

Memory Box Pumpkin Card

This pumpkin was done on the Accu-cut.  The words are by American Art Stamps and was clipped with another  small clothes pin.  Once again the orange card was toned down with black ink sponged on the card.

Rubber Moon Card

This mystical lady was colored in with Copic markers.  She was then cut and added to the printed paper.  A friend gave me this cute clothes pin and I was happy to figure out a way to use it on this card.
