Master Board Card

This first card used the most of the Master Board for a large background.  More color was added to the corners.  The acorns and the two circles were made with punches and the edges were sponged with a metallic bronze pad.

Master Board

Been busy getting ready for my next Master Board class.  Can you tell I'm feeling the love for fall?  The board was created with a lot of help from Pan Pastels.  Base color was put down first, then the smaller leaves were stamped with Versafine and colored in with more Pan Pastels.  Then the larger leaves were stamped with various metallic pads.  Then extra color was added to the corners with more Pan Pastels.  Will show the cards we'll be doing in class over the next three days.

Washi Tape Card

Anyone who's been around me for long knows that one of my mantras is, "Simple is good".  This card illustrates this concept well.  Because of the large amount of white space, the color of the tape really pops.  Words and brush are by Impression Obsession.  The brush was cut out and mounted last with foam tape so it goes over top of the tape.   Angela's Happy Stamper got in a huge box of washi tapes so now is the time to come stock up!  Come on in this Thursday and do this card for our free Make It Take It.

Graphic 45 paper

Found an incomplete card from my time at the shore.  Here it is now that it is finished.  It was paired up with a saying from Impression Obsession and some paper flowers.  Green brads were added to the center of the flowers.

Doodlebug Eye Paper

Loved the eyes on this paper.  So it just seemed right to pull out an alphabet set and make an appropriate saying to match.  Space was left for some google eyes to compete this creepy cute card.

Doodlebug Halloween Paper

Along with the colorful paper, found some matching paper tape also by Doodlebug.  Besides stretching myself with brighter colors this year, I've also been getting bolder with mixing patterns.  Some how this all goes together for me.  Added some black gems at the top to finish it off.

Doodlebug Fall Printed Paper

Was pretty proud of myself for making the most of this colorful collection.  Impression Obsession has this stamp which seemed to go perfectly with the paper.  The words were inked with a water base marker in black.  "Color" was inked with a Memories teal.  On the stamp the words are more vertical so I separated them on different pieces of paper so I could lay them out horizontally.

Doodlebug Printed Paper

Walked into the store today and was "wowed" by a wall of this wonderful paper by Doodlebug.  Bought some right away and came home and had some fun tonight.  Managed to kick out five cards in no time!  Will share some of the results over the coming days.  Here is the first card.  The paper is double sided so I made the most of all it had to offer.  The words were embossed with brown embossing powder.  They just didn't stand out enough when stamped on the gingham without being embossed.  Come see more of the fun tomorrow.

Impression Obsession Embossed Flowers

Black detailed embossing powder was used first.  Then Inktense pencils added some color which was smoothed out with a Dove blender pen.  The cup and flowers were then cut out and added to the die cuts.  Am thinking of adding an embossed flower to the bow.

Embossed Memory Box Wreath

Here is my next card for my demo in September.  The wreath was embossed with Zing brown embossing powder.  Some Liquid Pearls was then added to look like berries.  Found a silk pumpkin cut from a ribbon strand that filled the space at the bottom on the wreath.  Words are by Peddler's Pack.

Impression Obsession Embossed Flowers

Angela's Happy Stamper is having our 10th anniversary and an Open House the last Saturday in September.  I'll be doing a demo in the AM on embossing powders.  So I've started working on cards for the demo.  This is my first one and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  The flowers were embossed with Wow embossing powder.  Then the card was sprayed with Dylusion inks and water.  Once the paper was dry, the Printworks words were inked with Versafine black and stamped on the card.  The butterfly was embossed in black and sprayed with the same inks.  It was cut and attached with a piece of foam tape.  The flowers were outlined with a fine tip black Copic pen and then black Stickles added a little bling to the center of the flowers.

Dylusional Sprayed Birthday Card

On a white piece of paper Dylusional sprays were used along with Crafter's Workshop stencils.  Love the multi dimensional look it gives.  The Cornflowers were then sponged on with a Colorbox Pink ink and outlined with a white pen.  Words were stamped with a "Calypso" Kalidacolor pad.

Paper Pieced Apples

This open apple works really well on colored paper.  The background is a stamp by A Stamp in The Hand which was inked and stamped repeatedly down the page.  The apples were cut and glued on. The brads in the corners are covered with cloth.    Am sending this as a birthday card to a teacher friend.  Inside is stamped, "You are a good apple".

College Birthday Card

Got this card ready for a friend who's birthday we'll be celebrating today.  I try to make a card the recipient will like. This is all one stamp so it makes it easy to do.  Coloring is what takes time for me.  There are a variety of ways to color this stamp and they all look good.  Today I chose to use Copic markers.  The paper was sponged with a couple of Distress inks as well.  To finish off the card, organza ribbon was folded along the bottom and then the grosgrain ribbon is holding it in place.  A touch of iridescent glitter glue was added to the flowers.

Momento Luxe Card

Did you know that Momento pads are now available as pigment pads?  Oh happy day!  They have the same great colors of the dye pads but are made for multi media use.  The best part is you can use them on fabric.  Went back to the basics on this card though, and used the colors on good old paper.  The leaf is by Printworks.  Words are by Peddler's Pack.

Rubbermoon Pumpkin Lady

Ok, a pumpkin isn't a fruit, but think these two stamps go well together.  The lady was colored with Copic Markers.  It's a beautiful day today weather wise.  Does get one thinking towards fall.  Hope this next season is as nice as summer has been.

Embossed Leaf

Yesterday I mentioned that I'm starting to think about doing fall cards.  Well, here is the first one.  Used an Impression Obsession background stamp to do the weave design.  Embossed the Accu-cut leaf with a Cuttle bug embossing folder.  Added a metal sticker that says, "Autmn" and layer this onto a dark paper before mounting it onto the Memory Box card.

Apple card

Summer is nearing the end and what a great one it's been here in VA.  Haven't had such a nice one in years.  Know the kids are starting to head back to school in various places and it gets me in the mood for apple cards.  Pulled out an old Stampn' Up! set to do this one.  Added it to the apple printed paper and through is words from a Stampendous set.  Hope you are able to enjoy the rest of your summer.  Must admit, I'm starting to think about fall cards.

Multi Colored Card

Had a great weekend away celebrating my hubby's birthday.  I like to give him several cards.  This one is a reminder of how much I appreciate him.  Kalidacolor "Berry Blaze" was the multicolored pad.  The heart is a solid image which I stamped onto the pad and then onto the white glossy paper.  The tiny hearts were on the side of the solid heart (by Memory Box) and make some great filler.  Words were by Hero Arts.

Graphic 45 Pocket Card

Pocket cards are fun to make and give a double gift.  The tag is sort of a card with in a card.  My mother in law has been recouping at a rehabilitation nursing home.  I made this card for her as an encouragement to focus on good thoughts during her time there.

Scrap Card

Am glad to say that this card came together quickly.  Sometimes when I'm plowing through my scraps I can't seem to find coordinating colors.  But, this time I did!  After doing the top strips, was trying to figure out what to do for the horizontal piece.  When I looked down, there it was!  Right on top of the scrap pile.  The words were placed on a punched piece done on a Stampn' UP! tag punch.  The paper flowers are held together with a cute brad.  Was pretty happy with this card.

Hero Arts Scrap Card

Had some good fun using up some scraps today.  Added a die cut button in the middle with some hemp twine tied through the holes.  Felt the background needed something so added an Impression Obsession background inked with Colorbox Chalk "Chestnut Roan".  Also added some Fresco "Tuscan" to the edges with a sponge applicator.  Words are by Hero Arts.

Sympathy Card

Was going through my scrap paper file and found these two printed pieces.   They seemed to go well together.  Still needed a third element, and this leaf seemed to bring it all together.  Words are by Hero Arts.  Since the words were going over print, I stamped them with Versafine Black so they would stand out well.

Gelli Print Birthday Card

Since my Gelli prints were out, thought I might as well do another birthday card.  Had some stickers that went well with the print so added them to the front.  Inside I added another sticker that says, "Celebrate".

Gelli Print

A quick card today thanks to already done Gelli prints.  This one was done with Crafter's Workshop "gears" stencil done with metallic acrylic paint.  Put two stamps together and added some metal clock pieces with some stickers and it's ready to go.  Got this card ready for my hubby's up coming birthday.

Embossed birthday Card

Got some more birthdays coming up.  Here is one that I did with the Birthday embossing folder by Cuttle Bug.  It was lightly sanded.  Then I heat embossed the crow stamp with black embossing powder.  The candle was slipped under the beak (which was cut so it could with an exacto knife).

Art Journal Entry

Sure have been enjoying the journey with my Art Journal.  The first couple of pages were pretty bright and colorful, so wanted to change it up a bit.  Started with Faber Castel markers on various backgrounds.  Added some sprays and paint, and then painted the stencils with Gesso. Finished off the page by outlining the images with Gelatos.  Used some of the new Crafter's Workshop stencils that just arrived.  Am really liking the new images.  We'll be doing this in my Art Journal class in September.

Crafters Workshop Stencil Card

Are you liking the plastic stencils as much as I am?  If you are looking for a fairly quick Christmas card, this would work.  The stencil was laid over the lavender paper and the Brillance "Moonlight White" was sponged over the stencil.  This gives the paper a soft, slightly pearlized white look.
The words are by Memory Box and were inked with Versafine purple.  All this was mounted onto a white card.  Want to try to make one?  Come on in to Angela's Happy Stamper store and do one for free today.  I created this for the Make It Take It today.
