Hero Arts Die with IO die

Lots of "die" action going on here.  The heart is by Hero Arts and was used on all the hearts.  The word is by Impression Obsession.  All these die cut pieces were added to the two doilies and placed on the card.

All you need is Love

If you are of a certain age, seeing these three words will make you read them with a tune accompanying the reading.  So on the inside of the card is stamped the phrase, "All you need is love".  And those of a certain age will be listening to this Beatle song in their head right now.  Am I right?

Hero Arts Stamp

The Hero Arts stamp was inked with a red Versa Mark pad onto the same pink paper as was used behind it.  Beside the punched out words, two heart stickers were added.  Been having lots of fun making valentines.  Guess you can take the teacher out of the classroom but you can't take the valentine making out of the teacher.

Glitter heart sticker

Got lots going on with this valentine.  The background was stamped with a light pink ink.  Then a pink doily was put over three different washi tapes.  On the doily is a printed heart, a white hearts sponged with pink and stamped with the words in pink, and then a glitter heart sticker.

Dylusion sprays and stencils

For this purple card some of the paper done with Dylusion sprays and stencils was perfect.  Various sprayed paper was then run through the die cut machine using this multiple heart die by My Favorite Things.  Stamping was done on the card first and then the hearts were added.  Some are popped up with foam tape to add dimension.  "happy heart day" is stamped in the left hand corner and the heart was colored in with a Tombo pen.

Love in Lavender

Have anyone who loves all shades of purple?  I know a few.  That's why I went hunting for paper and washi tape to help me make a lavender valentine.  The words are stamped as is the tiny heart.  The background was stamped with a speckled stamp to give the paper a distressed look.

Thank You

This lovely card arrived in the mail the other day.  The flowers are all one stamp.  Outlining each flower in a different color and leaving the middle white is a creative idea I honestly would never have thought to do.  I love getting new ideas!  Can't wait to try this out.

Hugs and Kisses Card

This is from a Doodlebug paper.  It is all one piece which was cut and layered over a printed paper of X's and O's.  A red heart clip was added at the end.

Another Love Card

Just can't get enough of these prints and color combinations!  This is a different word die.  Some printed hearts and a ruffle die were added to this card.  The" love" on this one didn't quite pop enough so a second word was done in black and layered behind the red word.  Now it looks good.

Love card

For me, nothing beats the great contrast of color like red, white, and black as this card so well illustrates.  I knew I wanted the word on the front but I played around with the positioning of the other paper elements until hitting on this selection.  It worked for me.

Inkadinkado Saying

A die cut a red heart out of this paper and was used on another card.  I didn't want to waste the rest of the paper so it was layered underneath with the polka dot paper.  There was enough room for this fun stamp.  The pink hearts pick up on the boarder of the card and then some tiny heart gems were added to the pink hearts.

Memory Box die

Another pink card to day but I've moved on from the Doodlebug paper.  Today was all about using this window die.  It was cut on black paper and then white paper was attached to the inside.  Then a die cut heart was added.  Found a great Hero Arts saying to go with the card.

Doodlebug paper and washi tape

One last card with the paper frenzy I had.  On this one washi tape that goes with the theme was added to the card.  Since the color on the card is pink, it showed through the white washi tape.  The phrase is one that is printed on the paper.  It was cut to size.  Matte dots finish off the card.

Doodlebug paper

Doodlebug has some fun food and coffee Valentine paper.  This was a quick and easy one because of the printed images.  Paired with some coffee beans and pink plaid paper, it makes a cute card ready to go.

Doodlebug paper

Here is a breath of spring and a valentine in non traditional colors.  The bee paper is double sided. The front of the card has the one side folded back so you can see the underside.  Then a strip of blue paper was put on the edge of the inside of the card.  Because the front is folded back, you can see the blue when the card is closed.  The same blue paper was used around the printed words.  A few matte embellishment finish off the card.

New Doodlebug papers

Saturday I was in at Angela's Happy Stamper store.  There are racks of yummy new papers.  I picked up a bunch of papers and sat down and had some fun.  Several of the papers are springy, but as you can see, just fine for making valentines as well.

Valentine Card

This card was made for a friend who loves polka dots.  The red paper was die cut out.  Then the dotted paper was adhered behind the red paper.  The small red heart is a paper clip.  The stamp is by Printworks.

Valentine card

Well it doesn't get any more simple than this!  A perfect card for our minimalist friends.  The heart was punched out and layered onto the red card.

Valentine Card

Another holiday is coming up.  Maybe it is all those years as a kindergarten teacher, but I enjoy sending valentines to friends and family.  The patch work was completed with various printed papers.   The heart is a die by MFT.  The rest is a stamp that was colored with light grays.

Birthday Card

Hard to believe it's been so long since I posted.  Between health issues and wrapping up Christmas, it's kept me too busy to stamp till recently.  This week finally gave me a little time to craft.  It started with a needed birthday card made with a STAMPN' UP! snowman and colored in with Copic markers.  A couple more birthday cards to go for the month.  Will have to get back at it.

Christmas craft

Spent the day today getting a craft project ready for next Christmas.  It's never too early!  These are light bulb ornaments that were begging to be filled.  I raided my bead drawer and went to town.  In the first picture you see all the finished products.  Various colors were done such as gold, red, green, and multi colored.  Besides a mix of different types of beads, the last picture shows a bulb filled with sequins.  Each one has a ribbon tied at the top.  A hook was also attached so they are ready to hang.

A work in progress

Ever have one of those stamp sets that looks terrific, but when you go to use it, it doesn't quite work out?  Yeah, that's how I felt about this card.  The words were part of the set along with the sun image.  But, it is not coming together for me.  I'm open to suggestions for "round 2"!

Dreamweaver and Paste Card

Viva Décor has a glittery gold paste which I used here with a Dreamweaver stencil.  Because the paste can warp, it was done on watercolor paper which is heavier than normal paper.  Once dry, it was attached to the card with foam tape.  It is now a nice card full of potential!  Could be a birthday card, congratulations, or, as I chose, a "Happy New Year" card.

Winter Birthday Card

It's a day of new beginnings but it got off to a leisurely pace today and hasn't moved much faster.  Just got down to the craft room to make a couple of cards.  I'm learning to be more kind to myself, so I am celebrating the fact that the year started with some crafting- albeit however humble a start.  This is a simple card but it is ready for yet another birthday in January.  Lots of snowflakes stamped with various blues on a white card.  Inside is another stamp which says, "Snowflakes bring to mind how special you are.  You're one of a kind."
