Gelli Prints
Back to showing some of my creations. As I've been figuring out ways to use my gelli prints, the most obvious seemed to escape me until now. -Just cut and mount them onto cards! So quick and easy, and what a great way to end up with a set of note cards. I didn't put any sentiments on the cards. Sometimes it's just nice to have a blank card. Am looking forward to creating some sets as gifts.

After the Show
So after a full day of shopping, got to take a Dina Wakley class tonight. Guess you can see how I felt about it. She kept us energized and moving through the use of lots of new product to make this bird folding tag book. In case you didn't know it by my face, it was a lot of fun!
Make It Take It Frenzy
All the vendors supplied Make It Takes Its for us to do last night. It was a fury of fun. Got to try out product that won't ship until mid April. Now I'm on to the shopping today. Have a whole day to place orders for the store. Oh happy day!

Impression Obsession Monograms
Wow, what a full day! Lots of classes and learning going on. Started the day with Mitra from IO and we did lots. Just showing one project here which was stamping out initials and coloring in the borders with zentangle design stamps with water color pencils. Lots of fun. Would share more, but I'm due a big Make It Take It frenzy so gotta go!
Working weekend
No cards today. I'm off to a trade show for work. Lots of classes and seeing new products, and lots of shopping! Looking forward to some inspiration and getting to see what's new. If you want to keep up with what I'm doing, you can follow my journey at ahappystamper.BlogSpot.com.
Of course, I'll also be posting some of the fun right here as well. This was a treasure I found at a class today. Love to tell more, but I'm due to go to another class.

Sweet N' Sassy with Gelatos
My husband needed a sympathy card for a coworker. I pulled out my gelatos and colored across the white paper and then lightly sprits the colors. After drying the paper, the image was stamped with a Versafine pad. The words are by Hero. Some blue twine was glued on last.

Hero Arts Word
A nice simple card today done with scraps of paper. The main image is from some printed 12X12 paper cut down. Words are by Hero Arts and inked with an orange pad. Simple is good.

Spring Banner
Didn't get a picture taken of this banner before I took it into the store. It is made with burlap precut banner pieces and attached to a ribbon. The letters were inked with acrylic paint. Some paper flowers were colored in and added on to the ends of the word. Sure would like spring to come here-we just got another coating of snow today.

Gelli Plate Prints and Crafter's Workshop Stencils
Well, here's another way to use Gelli prints thanks to these cute little frames that I found at a big box crafter's store. Each frame came with a preprinted insert. I used the insert to trace over the parts of prints I wanted for each frame and then cut them out. Then using a black Versafine pad and a sponge tool, the image was sponged onto the print paper and heat set. How easy is that? Now I have to go run out and hopefully find some more. Think this would make a great gift!

Gelli Plate Print with Crafter's Workshop Ginko Stencil
So what do you do with all those prints that you make with a Gelli plate? If you are like me, once I start, it is soooooo hard to stop! Ideas just start flowing out! Next thing I know, I've got a pile of papers. Cards are still one of my favorite ways to use the prints, but, sometimes a really nice one just needs to be frames as is. So, that's what I did with this one.

Stamps by Judith Egg Tree
Stamps by Judith has this twig tree and lots of various stamps you can use with it. Got my "egg" thing going with this card. Everything was stamped in black and then colored in with Copic markers. A touch of iridescent glitter glue was added to the eggs to give them some sparkle. The basket was stamped and colored and then cut and glued onto the front of the tree.

Gelli Print and Crafter's Workshop Stencil Card
Finally finishing up the cards for my Gelli Print Card class. The silhouette is by Crafter's Workshop. The words are from a stamp set by Diana Wakely. The image was outlined with a white pen and a white Color Box pad was used to create the pattern over the figure. We will be creating the prints for the cards as well as making the cards.

Memory Box Birthday Card
One more birthday card! This one, however, is for another friend who has a birthday this week. She is a writer-hence the printed text behind the main image. She also is quite the bird lover-so a bird scene seemed a good bet. Words are from a set by WPlus9 but the birds are by Memory Box. I used water based markers to color in the birds and twigs.

Birthday Card by Deb
This beauty was done with an embossing folder for the background. The butterflies were folder embossed and then punched out. Loved the little bit of vellum over the word and how she did the words in different colors. There were lots more cards, but I'll stop here and go back to some of my creations tomorrow.

Birthday Card by Dee
This fantastic beauty was done with Impression Obsession dies. Dee claims it really didn't take long at all. She has embraced dies and enjoys doing scenes like this. We like it, too!

Birthday Card by Laura
We had our party-harty night for my friend at my house the other night. I posted the card I gave her two days ago. One of the fun parts about the party was that the room was full of stampers! I am posting some of the wonderful cards that were given to our birthday gal. This one has the word "happy" die cut and then inserted into another paper. It also has lots of neon words to go with it. Loved it.

Stampendous St. Pat Card
Happy green day! I've got my Celtic music going and I'm searching my wardrobe for the perfect outfit-which may include a pair of sparkly shamrocks on a headband given by a friend a few years ago. Hope it's a day of some fun for you, too. My card today went to an elderly friend and I hope it puts a little lightness in her step today. Images were colored in with Copic markers. A green gem added some extra sparkle to the shamrock.

Penny Black Cooking Card
Penny Black came out with a new set that is perfect for the cook or baker in your life. I made this card for a friend who perfectly fits the bill. The images were stamped with Momento Luxe pads and cut out. The words are also from the set. We're cooking up a good time for my friend tonight with a birthday bash that we hope is tons of fun for her.

St. Pat Card
Just a few cards to go before the big day. There is a little green envelope with the card overlapping in front of the envelope. A glitter sticker is on the white card. Just seemed to fit with the words. Loving all these shades of green!

Irish Blessing
Back to the holiday at hand. Love this blessing but it's a big one. So, I just filled in the edges with colored paper and some ribbon and added a shamrock button in the corner. Love to mix the greens together!

Easter Card
Been so focused on St. Patrick's Day cards that I hadn't made any Easter cards yet. Now I at least have one done. Have had this cave stamp for years and never used it. Seemed perfect for this card. Added a word stamp and then the Memory Box die and a little sponging. Works for me.

Sweet N' Sassy Birthday Card
Pulled out my gelato friends to do this card. I tried inking an acrylic block and stamping it, but the colors were mottled and not as intense as I wanted. Gelatos to the rescue! I colored directly onto the paper and then spritzed the page. Next the colors were smoothed with my finger. The paper was dried and then the words were added. I've been seeing a lot of "angled" papers on cards. I tried it out on this card and liked the results. The ribbon is a very thin velvet that easily tied into a bow and was glued on. Some pink glitter glue was touched to the middle of the flowers. Hope my friend likes the results as much as I did.

Gelli Print
Have you seen the new Diana Wakely stamp sets? There is a set of women's faces, and a set of backgrounds that were used on this card. The portrait here was stamped onto a Gelli print using a Versafine pad. The same pad was used with all the other images as well. I'm really enjoying incorporating some of the techniques used in art journaling and applying them to card making.

Taylor Expressions Stamp
Not a St. Patrick's day card today-but it's still green! The dinosaur was colored in with Copic markers. Washi tape was used behind the circle. Makes it much easier to mail than using ribbon. Was thinking this would make a nice birthday card for a child.

Cat's Pajama's Dog stamp
Meshed a bunch of printed papers together here. Then stamped the dog in Versafine black and colored in the shamrocks with Copic markers. Added to chocolate coins with double stick tape. This was sent with extra bubble wrap in a padded envelope to make sure it got to the recipient.

Lucky Day
Love when a simple card comes together. I made this one for my dad. Definitely think it's a good one for a guy. Took a paint swatch and added the glittered stickers and then the words (by A Muse) at the bottom. Paper is by Bo Bunny. Love the dotted paper. It comes in a rainbow array of colors.

So Lucky
Not sure I'm done with this card. Seems like it still needs a little more. It looked pretty good while I was working on it, but now seeing it here it seems like something should be done in the left corner. Any suggestion????

Irish Blessing
This is going to an Irish friend who has had her share of troubles of late. Thought she might like to have a blessing that addressed those troubles! The shamrock is a glittery button that was tied on with some green twine.

Irish Blessing
I love doing St. Patrick's Day cards. There is just something wonderful about all those greens- especially when the world is still all white around me. Got my green papers, stickers, and ribbons all out to help me crank out some quick and fun cards.

St. Pat's Card
After six inches of snow today, a little humor was needed. This is a stamp that has the inside and outside messages together. I taped off the inside message and inked the words with an ink pad and stamped it on the green paper. Got out my glitter stickers and used them both outside and inside the card. More St. Patrick cards to come this week.

Art Journal Entry
Got a chance to work on a new page for the Art Journal. It's actually a double page. On the left is an image traced over a scrap paper that is used to help clean my brayer when using the Gelli plate. It was stenciled over with black acrylic paint. Both pages are also painted with acrylic paint and then more paint was added with stencils. Extra texture was created with stencils and embossing paste. Had lots of fun experimenting with ideas for this entry. We'll be doing this in April at Angela's Happy Stamper store.

River City Stamp
We just got in a new set of stamps from River City. I love their quirky sense of humor which is reflected in their stamps. Paired up the stamp with a couple of Accu-cut glass images done on metallic gray. If you look closely you can see the bubbles above the glasses done with Diamond Glaze. A piece of red chevron washi tape finished off the card.
