Hero Arts and Wow Embossing Powder
Here is a cheerful and sparkling card that we did last week as a Make It Take It at the store. I love the saying my Hero here. It was enhanced with the use of multi colored glitter and embossing powder by Wow. Along the edge of the paper, a Memory Box stencil was placed down on the paper. Then a Hero Arts dye dauber was dabbed over the stencil. Yet another way to use all those lovely stencils!

Doodle Bug Paper
There are two papers used here. The word paper, and then the white sparkle trees. The trees were cut out from a sheet that was covered with trees. A piece of washi tape was put across the purple paper and then purple twine went over the tape. Then the trees were popped with foam tape on top.

Doodle Bug Paper
The gray paper here has a hole punched in it. The paper was added from the back. The back side of the snowflake paper has the blue and white star shapes. Added some purple hemp twine. Nice thing about the colored snowflakes is that they are enhanced with glitter.

Doodle Bug Paper
More Doodle bug paper came in the shop. This series is for winter/Christmas. The paper in this card is all from one sheet. The deer are on one side, and the hearts are on the other. So sweet! There are lots more going on at the shop today. It is our annual Open House. Fun, food, and new companies! Also free demos in the morning and Make It Take Its in the afternoon all for one price. Come early so you can get a hostess gift. I packed them so I got to view all the awesomeness that went into the bag!

Sweet N' Sassy Candle
Had a class this week where we used this candle and made five different Christmas cards. Here is one of the cards that we did. The candle was colored in with Copic markers. The oval is from a My Favorite Things die set. The words are by Sweet N' Sassy and were stamped with Versa Fine Blue. The light for the candle was done with a gold vellum and a regular vellum sheet.

Zentangle, Washi tape, and Hero Arts
Here is another late night Masterpiece. The heart is by Hero and then die cut which left open space around the stamp. Did a little Zentangling to fill in the area. Placed this over the Washi tape and colored in the one spot on the heart. I think the words are from a Hero set as well.

Dreamweaver and Zentangle
So while I have been enduring some sleepless nights, Zentangling has been a pleasant way to pass the time. Did this vase and then used Copic markers to do the colors. It was cut out and mounted on the embossed paper. Will show another late night piece tomorrow.
Dylusion Sprays and Crafter's Workshop Stencils
First the bad news- it's been a week of sleepless nights. Now the good news- it I'm not sleeping, might as well be crafting! This was a piece I had floating around on my desk for an embarrassing amount of time. Finally mounted it onto paper and finished of the piece with some washi tape. Will show a few more "after midnight" creations this week.

Art Journaling with Gelli Plates
Now that Gelli plates are available in 3x5, it is very easy to use in Art Journals. We will be doing this page on Thursday, October 16th. It was great fun to do! We will also be doing a second page which I will show tomorrow.

Doodle Bug Papers
The long awaited fall paper from Doodle Bug is in and makn' me really happy! So bright and cheerful and so easy to use. The stickers finish off the cards perfectly. Inside the leaf card I wrote "I be-leaf in you with a Fudi pen. Used the same pen on the owl card. Now I think I'll go find some google eyes to finish off the owl card.

Echo Park Halloween
Lots of new seasonal paper arrived in the store while I was away. Got to have some fun putting together some cards with this paper by Echo Park. The edges of the paper were sponged a bit and a few black gems finished off the card.

Impression Obsession Watercolor Card
Here is the promised card from a watercolor class I took last week. The instructor likes to work on a wet on wet surface. She showed us how to fade out the color. Worked pretty well for me. Oh the joys of taking classes!

Watercolor Class
Took a class last week on watercolors. Peerless watercolors to be specific. I'm never more appreciative of a class than when I am taking a watercolor class. Watercoloring in high school nearly drove me out of art completely. It is a very challenging medium and I have a great appreciation for those who master it. Happily, when watercolor made it's way into stamping, I took a breath, and timidly started trying it again. Much better results this time. But, I am always happy to learn from those who do it well. Wanted to show this pretty card that we did in class. One of the things I learned this time was the joys of "tapping". Tapping color on leaves specific spots of color. Will show another card from class tomorrow.

Dot's Birthday Card
Here is the reason for no posts over the weekend. I was down helping celebrate this precious lady's 87th birthday! She is holding up the card I made for her. We had a blast and you can see from her happy face that the celebration was a hit. She also showed me one of the pirate cards I had sent that she loves. How much fun is that? No one enjoys cards more than an elderly friend. I encourage you today to think of an older person who is just sitting waiting to have some company. Make and send a card! It may be the highlight of their day.

Impression Obsession Die
This die set has a several different glasses, moustaches, hats, and ties. When I saw the set, my first thought went to decorating a pumpkin face. The pumpkin is actually a die by Accu-cut. The bat is one of the extra moutaches. Words are from an IO clear set. Liked the orange circle behind the pumpkin. Makes me think of a harvest moon. You can see these and more samples at the store tomorrow during our IO celebration.

Impression Obsession Halloween Die
Another silhouette die today. It was paired up with another clear stamp by IO. Did some sponging in the corners with a black pad and added a ribbon to ground the witch.

Impression Obsession Halloween Die
Love these little trick or treaters (notice the pirate?). They all come as one die set. The words are from an IO clear set. The paper caught the flash because it's actually white glossy paper. It was brayered with a Kalidacolor multi colored pad. Really makes it hard to photograph.

Impression Obsession Dies
Impression Obsession has come out with a whole catalog worth of new dies. Angela's Happy Stamper store is going to be hosting a whole day on Saturday featuring these new dies with a special celebration at the store. There will be demos and free "Make it Take its". In preparation for the big event, we gathered at the store last night and cranked out a slew of samples. So much fun to get to play with all those dies! This card features lots of dies but they actually come in two sets. All the tea items are one set, and the word is part of another set. Will show some more of my samples over the next few days.

Great Impressions Get well card
This is a nice sort of generic card by GI. I thought I'd make it more seasonal through the use of colors for fall. Copics were used to color in the images. Extra color was colored on the corners with a sponge tool. The ribbon went around the bottom and we're all set.

Hero Arts
This elephant was inked with a Memento gray and stamped and cut out. It was foam popped onto the card. Words are also by Hero. Inside the card I wrote, "I remembered your birthday, just not on time!" Better late than never!

Hero Arts & Kalidacolor card
My brother has a birthday coming up soon. He is a great one for the outdoors. This grass stamp from Hero worked well for a birthday card for him. The sun was masked off and Kalidacolor "Calypso" was brayed over the glossy white paper. Then the sun was colored in with a sponge tool with a yellow and orange Fresco pads. The birds are from a Deep Red stamp that actually has many birds on it. I picked one and inked it with a black LePlume pen three times. Words are by Impression Obsession.

Gormet Belated Birthday
A much simpler card today. But, simple is good! Pulled some printed paper from my scrap stash and layered it up with colors that matched. The turtle is colored with Copics. Think I may put some buttons at the top. -What do you think?

Impression Obsession with Vellum
Got a start on my September birthday cards. This one is for a musical friend who likes birds and the color blue. Managed to get all her favorites on this card with the help of vellum. Two of IO's background stamps were inked and stamped underneath the vellum. Then I stamped the musical piece and the words on the vellum and layered them all up. The ribbon is holding the vellum in place.

Dreamweaver Pumpkins
Here is the last card for my stencil class. The pumpkins were done with orange paste and then colored in using a screen mesh. Now on to some Sept. birthday cards that need to go out soon.

Dreamweaver Crackle Paste Fern
Happy Fall y'all! Sure doesn't feel like it! But, I'm happy to have a holiday today. It gave me a chance to work on more cards for my stencil class. Fall is reflected in the colors chosen for the fern. We got some new gold glitter that comes in a spray can and it seemed to go well with this card. Finished off the card with some copper and gold metallic paper.
