Cityscape in Moonlight
Came across this card I had sent to my dad. It was stamped in gray onto the blue paper and cut out. A white moon made with a Marvy punch was placed behind the scene and laid onto black glossy paper. Simple, but nice. Hope you all have a nice, safe, night tonight.

Dreamweaver Poinsettia
When we had the Christmas stencil class, we needed to mix some paint with the paste to do this card. There was some paste left over so I made some extra cards with the paste. Once the paste was down, glitter was added. After the paste was dry, some white pearls finished off the flower. Then it was layered onto the card and the white satin ribbon run between the layers.

Lawn Fawn Printed Wood Paper
Been itching to try out a card with this paper. It comes in a bunch of colors and I thought they would be perfect for fall. The printed paper here is actually the back side of some Christmas paper, but looks perfect for fall. The ribbon is a brown velvet placed on with a strip of red adhesive tape. Added a button with some brown twine to the bottom. The stamp was inked in red and then the edge and the leaves were enhanced with a brown colored pencil.

Impression Obsession Fall Stamps
The oak leaves here are part of a background stamp by IO. It was inked in brown and then extra color was added with a Dove blender pen and dye ink. I'm learning to stretch myself with mixing patterns so I paired the stamped paper with some printed paper. I think it worked. What do you think?

Embossing folder Birthday Card
My brother-in-law has a birthday coming up. This embossing folder seemed a good fit for the occasion. The paper was sponged over with "Rubarb" dye Momento ink. The words are by Serenity stamps. Some ribbon was cut and folded behind the tag.

A quick and easy card today. Sponged a little around the white squares and then added a sticker to each square. Words at the bottom say "Happy Autumn Days". Done!

Dyan Reaverly Bird Stamps
There is a group of ladies that will be meeting at my house next week for a Bible study. Many of them were at our fun craft night last week and expressed a desire for more crafting. So, before our study starts, I've planned a quick craft with the new set of birds that are by Dyan. The bird here is stamped with a Versamark black pad onto a text page. The page was sponged with some Distress ink. The hat is in the same bird set. It was colored in with Copic markers.

Painting
Thanks to Gelli plates and Dina Wakely paints, I am tentatively dipping my paint brush towards other projects beyond cards. Started with this easy one. The words were already on this block. All I had to do was add paint. I had picked up some glittery paint and this seemed a good place to try it. First thing I found out is that it needed a base layer of paint. It was not opaque enough to just paint directly onto the bare wood. Out came the basic acrylic paint in a similar color that went on first. Once dried, then the glittery paint was added in two coats. My handmade Christmas gift is ready!

Craft Night
Did a craft night with friends over the weekend that was so much fun I just had to share the idea. There were about 12 of us. A pretty large group. But, I had set up stations and let them go wherever they wanted-so it spread out the people in a very comfortable way. We had a center where they could do two different cards, a paint place for decorating gourds, and a writing spot where they did the same activity Dyan Reaverly taught us at the store last week. Food was centered in the kitchen complete with a chocolate fondue! Folks brought most of the food so I didn't have to worry about getting that ready. We are definitely going to do this again.

Coloring with Dylusion Inks
This is another text print page but the images were hand drawn. Distress inks were sponged at the top. Then the pumpkins were colored in with Dylusion inks put into reservoir pens. The outline of the pumpkins was done with a Fudi pen.

Art Journal Entires
It's time for my Art Journal class again. I always get the new pages ready so the class can see what we'll be working on next month. After all the visual activity we had in Dyan's classes, I wanted to focus on pages that were more paired down. Been wanting to work with text pages. Both these pages have been layered with print from a book. Once dried, the papers were painted around the images. I liked how there is translucency to the color that has been added to the paper. Stencils were outlined to create the images.

Journal Writing with Dyan
If all that color seemed a bit too much for you these past couple of days, this will be a welcome change. We used Dyan's acrylic block to create the boarder and lines. Then we went back in and wrote. I've always been intimidated by writing and she was very good at addressing our fears and concerns and helping us move past them. I'm feeling braver!

Journal page
This page really took me out of my element, but must admit, it was great fun. After coloring the page, we sorted through magazines and created our personal "fairy". then we took text paper from a book and worked on free hand doodles. We got to try our her sprays in filled pens so we could color specific areas with the vibrant ink. It's always good to be stretched!

Pages Done with Dyan
As promised, here are a couple of the pages done with Dyan Reaverly at Angela's Happy Stamper Store. I do love the silhouette stencils and we had a great time using them several different ways. "Don't be afraid of black", Dyan told us. "It makes the colors pop." So true.

Dyan in the house
Spent the weekend with Dyan Reaverly from Ranger. We've had two days of her wild and wonderful techniques. It's so nice to have the designer explaining how her products work. So many tips and pointers that make using all the items to their fullest potential. Dy has certainly added a lot of color to my life and filled my head full of new ideas! Had to share what I've been up to with you. This is one of the many journal pages she has done. Will post some of what we worked on another day.

Washi Tape Halloween Card
More washi tape! Just didn't quite fill up the whole page like yesterday. Then some dimensional Doodle bug stickers were added. Think I may still add a few sequins to finish the card.

Washi Tape
This card started with a few lines of washi tape- and then more kept being added. The ovals were die cut and them more washi tape was added to a tag. Really like how you can lay some tape down and still reposition it if it's not quite right.

Doodle bug Halloween Card
Have a variation of the card from yesterday. This time a sticker is used along with a second printed paper and a new saying. Think it all worked out ok.

Halloween Card
It was a card making day today. Some friends and I got together and worked on projects. My project was Halloween cards. This one used a punch to make the pumpkins. Found the perfect words to go with the punch. Then added some cheerful fall paper. All set!

Darcie's Pirate Card
Been just waiting till this month to get to use this set. I splurged and got the pins that match. After coloring in the pirate, I attached the face pin to give the card more dimension. The papers are also by Darcie. Just lovn' this. Inside I used another phrase from this set that says, "Happy Halloween my bucko".

Dad' birthday
It was a big day today. We were celebrating Dad's 92nd birthday. I forgot to take a picture of my card so I'm showing Dad with a card one of my coworkers made for him. It was a beautiful card. The top was embossed which didn't show up well in the photo. What you can see is how much he enjoyed the card. We both appreciated her thoughtfulness!

Doodle bug Halloween
Can't get over how cute these papers and stickers are by Doodle Bug. I added some google eyes to the owl sticker so when you move the card, the eyes move as well. Inside there is a sentiment by Hero Arts that says, "Happy owl-oween".

Impression Obsession Card
What goes together better than a soft cat and an old quilt? Needless to say, I loved this stamp. It was stamped with a black dye ink and then colored in with other dye inks using a blender pen. Extra color was added to the cat with colored pencils. The words are also by IO. The saying seemed to sum it the image perfectly.

Washi Tape
The washi tape used to create the background on this card is one of the several metallic tapes we recently got in at the store. There is also gold and copper. As you can see, I really enjoyed using it! It went well with the Wow Silver Sparkle embossing used on the Hero Arts Word. Another Christmas card done!

Stampscapes Halloween Wishes
One of the things I love about Stampscapes is how you can take one stamp and create a whole scene. There is only this one branch used on this card. It was reinked and repeatedly stamped to create an image of multiple trees. The background was done using a sponge tool and a black pad. The moon is a punch with some of the tree branch stamped on it. Words are by Hero Arts. Simple and easy! If you are in the area, come to Angela's Happy Stamper Store today and make this card for free! It is our Make It Take It for the week.

Gelli Print and Crafter's Workshop
There are two prints on this card. The first print was done with green paint and a stencil on the white paper. Then extra orange ink was sponged into the corners. The print underneath was done with green paint and then some orange paint was done on a second print. Some extra print paper was stamped on with the words from Hero Arts with Versa Fine black and then cut out. A ribbon finished off the card.
