Fishes Birthday Card
The background of this card was stamped with Versamark to create a resist once the color was brayered over the images. The fish were stamped onto glossy paper with multicolored pads.
The beads were sprinkled onto sticky acetate and layered on top. Extra tape was added to the edges and covered with beads. Inside it says "Best fishes' for a good birthday.

Pet Sympathy Card
Probably one of the most used sympathy stamps I have is the one for pets. People have responded very well when I make a card for them after knowing a beloved pet has passed. It's a real grief, and having it acknowledge by others seems to help them. So, now another card is ready to be sent in the hopes it will help.

Cat's Pajamas Birthday Card
I'm still working on birthday cards. Always liked this set. I need to put more of shading skills to the test with this set. But, for now, I atleast have a card ready for use.

Stacy Stamps
Got some more birthdays coming up. This is a great set for summer birthdays. Easy to do and like how it looks. It even came with the words.

Stampendous and Gelatos
There is a lot of detail to this stamp scene. Rather than color all the parts in, I opted to color the paper first. Pulled out my handy dandy Gelatos. They work really well on water color paper so that's what I used here. The paper was spritzed first, then color was put down. The color was smoothed with a brush. You can make this for yourself next Thursday at Angela's Happy Stamper Store.

Art Journal for August
As you can see, Art Journal for August got posted at Angela's Happy Stamper store. We've been enjoying a pretty nice summer and had lots of good sunny days. It's being celebrated on these pages. If you are around in August, feel free to come make a page for yourself! Just come in or call the store to reserve a spot.

Kaiser Anchor die
Remember the card I did last week with the silver anchor? Well, here is the same anchor in blue on top of more Fancy Pants paper as well as one of FP's Brag cards. A little bit of twine was add to finish it off.

Scrap Paper Card
Still in the scrap pile as you can see. After gluing down the scraps, a Hero Art die heart was added. Not sure who did the quote. It was from a clear stamp. If you recognize it, feel free to let me know!

Thank you Variation
As promised, here is the second card done with the same paper as the card shown yesterday. After the printed paper was placed vertically, just felt it needed a little something more. Memory Box has a set of button dies that helped do the trick.

Penny Black Die
Isn't it a bad feeling when you go to your stash and realize you don't have the card you need? I started making more "Thank you" cards the other night when I realized I had none. It was a good time to go to the left over paper pile and start pulling whatever was on top. Happily, some nice cheerful summer paper was there. The orange words are the backside of the lined paper. Will show a variation to this card tomorrow.

New Die
Just got a new die that went perfectly with the Fancy Pants sea paper I have. All sorts of phrases have been floating in my head to go with this anchor. I tried making the die with navy blue first, but then did it again with some silver mirror paper. Think it works well. I'm making this into a thank you card for a friend.

Feeling Blue Card
Inkadinkado has a fun line of kid sayings. Happily, they have put them out in a clear set. I paired up my Dylusion spray filled pens to create the background and stamped the words with a Danube blue Momento pad. Quick, fun, and not messy!!
Dreamweaver Christmas Tree
Yes, nothing says July like- Christmas. But, for those in the crafting field, you know I'm right! If you are making your Christmas cards or craft projects, now is the time to start thinking about it. In fact, I'm meeting with a rep today and will be picking out Christmas and fall holiday items for the store. Tis the season!

Stampscapes
My cohorts are back from the beach. I was calling every day so I could have a "virtual" vacation. My kitchen redo is in the 2nd week chaos. We've been managing pretty well and eating out when we're not. Thought I'd post this card of where I'd really like to be. (sigh)

Classes with Sandy Allnock
Teaching classes is great, but every so often it's really nice to be a student! Got to take two classes this past week with Sandy who was a very big help to two of my weakest areas. I had a bad experience with water colors in high school and gave it up until it began to reappear in stamping. I started back up with great trepidation. Happily, my confidence has slowly grown to the point that I was willing to delve into this "freehand" watercolor class of Sandy's. Happy to report it really helped to build my confidence and enabled me to actually enjoy watercolors. The next class I took was on shading. She was really specific in a way no books have shown for how to shade. Now it's all about the practice! I'm so happy and grateful to have some help in these two areas. Let's hear it for good instructors! ( Hoping this makes me a better one!)

Dreamweaver stencil
Came across a doodle I did a while back using a great stencil from Dreamweaver. It was great fun and easy to do thanks to the stencil. After I was done doodling, I decided to color in the outline. It really made it pop!

Rejoicing
Got an unexpected phone call from my brother the other night to let me know he had suddenly retired. His wife then told me they had made the final mortage payment. Wow! Hadn't heard my brother so happy in years. Wanted to share in the celebration so I sent him this card. The figures are by Judikins and the words are by Penny Black. Didn't have to do much more than stamp and put it together.

Make It Take It
Am so excited to day this card is not mine! I've been doing the Make It Take It's at Angela's Happy Stamper Store for 11 some years. Recently, I was fortunate enough to find someone who wanted to help- oh happy day! Gail will be presenting her first card today for any locals who want to come in and make a free card. Gail's style is clean and simple. She added some good interest to this card with the use of a Score Pal to create the scores across the white paper. Isn't it adorable?

There was a request for me to do another sea page this summer. Always happy to oblige when it comes to seascapes. We will be using the wonderful Color Bursts to do this page. You can sign up at the store or call in to secure a spot. The night class will be on Wednesday, July 15th. The day class is on Thursday, July 16th.

Beach Card
Usually I'm headed to the beach this time of year with stamping companions. Instead, I'm sitting here waiting for the men to show up to start my kitchen demolition. Trying to keep the long view on this. (sigh) Am hoping to squirrel away down in my craft room while they are busy. Will post any good projects.

Thank you card
A friend I stamp with was recently in the hospital for a few days. I took her one of the new adult coloring books to help pass the time. She sent me this great "Thank you" card. She had taken a class where we were using the Gelli plate. To get rid of excess color, we brayered onto a scrap paper. I encouraged them to use this paper for another activity. She sure did! She used it as the base fro this card and then added the bold colored shapes on top. Then she stamped the words on the shapes. Love the modern abstract look to this card. Making cards is fun, but it sure is great to get handmade cards as well.

4th Card
Happy 4th folks! Hope you have a great day of celebration. Had a friend text me to say she had taken 4th of July cards I had sent her and had put them out as decorations around her house. How cool is that? This card was done with the use of punches, printed paper and decorative buttons.

College Card
This was a card that was part of a set of cards I gave a friend as a gift. Got this one back when she recently wrote to me. It's rather fun to get your cards back! I started by making up a college page and then cut it down to use on this card. Pieces were used on each card in the set.

Penny Black
I liked how easy these flowers were to color in and shade. The color was added with a Dove Blender and a Distress pad. Words are by Hero Arts. I'm using this card as a sympathy card.
