So Lucky
There is a set of words by Mama Elephant that is full of sayings you can put together in great variety. I've been feeling "green" with March just around the corner, so I pulled out my clovers to add to the card. Some Dylusion green spray was used by unscrewing the spray and tapping the ink onto the card. Then loose glitter was poured over the outline clover after running a tacky glue stick over the image.

Irish Blessing
I'm sneaking in some St. Pat cards. I really should be working on Easter cards. But I love making St. Pat cards. All that green is just what I need after the winter months! This had the blessing embossed in gold embossing powder and heat set. Then a piece of dry embossed paper done with an embossing folder was brushed with some perfect pearls to give it a bit of metallic shine.

Rainbow Card
This card uses a lot of dies from various companies. The clouds came as a set. The rainbow was done using Inktense pencils and then smoothed over with a reservoir pen. All the pieces were popped with varying depth of foam tape. The saying is by Hero Arts. Keeping with the rainbow theme, the inside saying says, "Happy birthday to a treasured friend"

My Favorit Things flower set
Woke up early this morning. Really early. So early even the cat didn't wake up when I went to get him from the room we keep him in at night. Rather than sit and fret over how early it was, I went down to my craft room and tried out my new floral set by MFT. It came with both solid and outline pieces. Here is my first card. Will definitely by trying more things with this set. Dye and pigment pads were used and one green copic to color in the leaves. This will be used as a birthday card for a friend.

Card Holders
Got together the other night with some lovely ladies and did a double craft activity. We started by making these card holder from glass candlesticks. We took a mixture of matte medium and dye reinkers and colored the glue and then painted it onto the candle to give it a frosted look. A sparing amount of glue is used and dries quickly. More can be added if you want to darken the color. Then we made what I call "Truth cards". Dylusional sprays covered paper and then were cut and stuck together so that the card is double sided. We wrote down true statements that would be an encouragement. A second statement was written on the back. It was then displayed in the holder with a wine cork that had a slit made in it to hold a paper clip. This also becomes a good holder for photos, recipes, postcards, etc. The ladies did a great job and declared this activity a favorite for them. Thank you, Pinterest, for the idea for the holder.

Concord & 9
Got a new set of stamps the other day and wanted to try them out. Watercolor paper was used and some Hero Arts watercolors were added to the wet paper. The paper was dried and then the stamped images were added. Think I'll add some more yellow to the filament.

Gelli print Thank You
How nice to open up the mailbox and find a card for me! It was this "thank you" card. The background was done with a stencil and sprays onto text paper. Then the moth was masked and a gellli print was done over it. So nice!

My Favorite Things Gems card
Really enjoy the new gems sets by MFT. There is a dual die set and then a stamp set of sayings. This card was made as a birthday card. I used ultrafine preglittered paper and then used "Stick It" over the metallic paper that was die cut for the front of the gems. All I had to do was peel off the paper and stick the paper die to the glitter paper. The same metallic paper was used at the bottom of the card where the words were added.

Congrats Card
New computer is up and running. Yea! Here is a card I made for a friend who recently retired. It is using Graphic 45 paper. The word is die cut. The gems were placed on black paper that was punched out.

Computer issues
Well the computer kindly told us the hard disk was about to crash. Yeah, that's not good. So, looks like I'm on a hiatus until we find a new computer. Sigh. Hope to be back on soon.

Thanks card
This may look like a valentine, but it's meant to be a thank you card. I picked up a new printed paper and added it in to the pile I had. It's the pink plaid. On the opposite side are the flowers. Love Doodlebug paper!

Valentine
Tried out a new way to use my paper pieces on this card. Also added some white punched hearts and a die cut word in white. More sequins finished it off.

Impression Obsession Make It Take It
One of the wonderful parts of having a stamp store nearby is the free Make It Take Its every Wednesday at Angela's Happy Stamper. I stopped by and made this card. A perfect birthday card for this season!

Valentine with Dies
Ever start a card with low expectations? That is how this one started. But, the end results were a pleasant surprise. I think it all came together pretty well. The word die is actually cut twice. The first was done all in black and then the second one on the printed paper. It makes the words stand out a bit more. Still having fun with sequins, as you can see.

Valentine
Well, this was a fun one to do. Definitely a good one for using printed scraps! Embossed scraps as well. There are lots of bright colors on this card, but I think it works. It left me feeling cheerful!
