Don't you love a good sale? These little frames were on super discount at Michael's. Some of the fun paper I've been using was added along with a cute sticker. All set for a Halloween decoration.

Photo Play Halloween Paper
Here is a fun Halloween card using the purple papers from the same company. The ovals are by My Favorite Things and worked well with the saying. Some black gems were added in the corner. All set to send.

Photo Play Fall papers
Love these new fall papers that are double sided and have sayings pre printed. A little washi tape helped to finish off this card.

Art Journal for September
After taking a break in August, I'm back at it for the September Art Journal. There are so many possibilities of what you can do with this page! I kept it pretty simple on this sample, though. If you have any trouble with faces, this technique will help build your confidence. Come join us on Tuesday, Sept. 13th. There is a day and night class. Call Angela's Happy Stamper store to sign up, or come see the sample in person at the store.

Best Wishes
The printed paper for this card has been sitting on my desk for a while. I knew I wanted these pieces to go together, but it didn't come together until today.
Map Card
Been seeing a lot of kids heading off to college for the first time on Facebook. What an exciting time! I remember my first day well. It inspired me to make this card. I'm hoping to send it as an encouragement to one of these new college bound friends.

Bump in the night by Impression Obsession
There were actually two IO stamps used on this card. The background was done with one of the "wall"stamps that creates a distress look. Then the words were also by IO. It's hard to see, but the words were colored with a light green Copic. Ghosts are by Memory Box.

Impression Obsession Card
IO had this great new saying. As a lover of pumpking flavor, I am looking forward to "pumpking spice" season! The pumpking die is by Sizzix.

Impression Obsession Halloween
Fall may be around the corner, but I'm having a hard time letting go of summer. However, there is nothing like the smell of new stamps to help put me in the mood for making fall cards! Angela's Happy Stamper store got in a huge patch of fall and winter stamps and I couldn't resist them. Here are two that I had fun with on this card. Color was done with Copics.

Stampmania
Here is a good guy card done with a paint sample card. The tracks were embossed with three different embossing powders. The words underneath say, "We will be forever known by the tracks that we leave".

Hero Arts and Color Bursts
A far away friend is soon having a birthday. She is very good at watercoloring. I am not! But, I felt like a got the feel of watercolor with the use of Color Bursts and lots of spraying. Some embossed and die cut hearts helped finish off the card.

Verses saying
My brother is a piano player. So, for his birthday card, I used this stamp. Brads are not used as much these days, but thought they were more appropriate for him than gems. A little layering and it's ready to go.

Graphic 45
Ever have a card come back to you? This is one that came back to me. It was one I really liked and thought it could be "repurposed". The card was cut in half and the front was attached to a new slightly larger paper. Am sending this to a friend as a birthday card. Inside was stamped, "Happy birthday to my ageless friend".

Zentngle Class
Got to take a class on zentangle yesterday at Angela's Happy Stamper store in Herndon, VA. Fun, informative, and with nice people! Nothing gives me more enthusiasm and inspiration than a good art class! It also builds my confidence so I am more willing to try new ideas. Hope you will consider taking a class to feed your soul and art part of you.

More art muses
We were down in West Virginia over the weekend visiting my sister-in-law. Country roads, take me home! Yes, as we were traveling down the lanes that John Denver song was going through my head. Lush and green as can be down there, and very pretty. They also have some great art! Here are a few pictures of things I found inspiring.

Sunshine card
Do you know the song, "You are my sunshine?" I used to sing it to my nieces. So it puts a soft spot in my heart when I see the words done as a stamp. Guess who I am going to send it to?

Making life more bear-able
This stamp gave me a chuckle when I saw it. Doesn't it go perfectly with the bear? Didn't have to do much but put all the parts together! Hope you are bear-ing up this Monday. (ha! Just couldn't help myself)

Graphic 45 paper
Had a happy/sad moment. I came across this card I had sent to my dad a while ago. When we cleaned out his stuff I found a pile of cards I had sent him. He always was a train lover and had enjoyed this card. A wistful moment.

Birthday Card
This was my favorite card that was made for my hubby. We were traveling for his birthday so I made a card for each day that we were gone. Think I will be using this design layout again. I like it!

Laura's Card
This is one of the cards I made when I took a class with lovely Laura recently. We did all summer cards. Quick, fast, and fun. It's a good one for many occasions. Stamps are by IO.

Beach Card
Well, things are slowly improving with photos. The image by Stampendous was put on a multicolored piece of brayered glossy paper. Words are also by Stampendous. Would love to be at the beach right now. It's going to be a hot one for the rest of the week.

Birthday Card
Hi there, haven't been on for a couple of days, and that usually means I'm having computer problems. Well, this time it was my phone! The end result was a new one. Then came learning how to use it. This is a terribly fuzzy picture but at this point, since I'm ready to go postal, I'm using it. Technology and I have a very tenuous relationship and new fangled things make me want to drink myself sense less. But, I am now able to post- so yea for that.

Eat Cake Saying
Time to get a birthday card off to a far away friend. When this paper popped up in my scrap pile, couldn't help but have this saying come to mind. In case you can't read it on the card, it says, "Diet, what diet! It's cupcakes! With sprinkles!" What a perfect match!

Wordsworth stamp
As I delved into my scrap box, I found these bright and cheerful printed papers. I'm enjoying mixing up pattern papers together. Along with the papers, I broke open some Doodlebug mat dots. The sentiment finished off the card using a Distress orange pad.

Graphic 45
Have you seen the new Graphic 45 sea papers? They are irresistible-as you can see! I picked up several of their papers and used one of the sayings to make this card for my hubby.

Impression Obsession Card
My hubby's birthday is coming up soon so I have been on the hunt for images good for making birthday cards. This seemed to fit the bill well. I love the images by this artist. They are always fine detailed pictures. They do well stamped in one tone of color. This time I wanted to add more color so I pulled out my colored pencils and lightly added the colors. On the inside a saying from a Hero Arts set was used that said, "Wishing you an ocean full of joy".

Coloring page
Someone told me it was National Coloring Day. So it seems appropriate to share my coloring page.
I got a coloring book over the summer and had taken some pages out for folks to try so thought I tried one myself. I used colored pencils. It didn't take as long as I thought it would, and it was relaxing!
