Patchwork Card

I do love all the wonderful green printed paper this time of year.  A great way to use it is by combining them together to create a patchwork background like this.  The message was then stamped on cream paper with a dye black ink.  A couple of self adhesive gems are in the corners.

Coin Card

I have a friend who is not only Irish, but is a Kennedy.  So, needless to say, I couldn't pass up this holiday without giving her a card.  When I found these coins, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  This Irish blessing calls for some coins, and Kennedy coins seemed perfect for her.  The message below  is actually all part of the ribbon which was attached with red line tape.

Celtic Thank You

My boss knows how much I like Celtic things so when she found a plaque with a Celtic design on it, shegave it to me for an early birthday gift.  This is the thank you card I made for her after getting the gift.  The knot stamp was inked with Versa fine Olympia Green and stamped on a light green cardstock.Darker green card stock was layered under it, and then attached to the card.  A green gem was added to the center.  The words are by Impression Obsession and also stamped in Olympic Green.

"Kissing" St. Paddy's Day Card

The kissing technique was used to create this image.  The shammrock was covered with a light green pigment ink.  Then a plaid background stamp with dark green ink was stamped over the light green-hence the "kissing" effect.  Then the image was stamped onto the white paper, and a solid image now has a pattern on it.  The words were also inked with a dark green pigment ink and stamped on the green card.

Stenciled Background Celtic Card

Instead of spraying this card with a mister, a sponge applicator tool was used to apply the ink onto the card.  The key is to use sort of a "medium" tapping (not too heavy, or too light) over the stencil.  The ink used is from a Versa Fine Olympia Moss pad.  The words are also inked with this. The ribbon is taped on the back of the dark paper.  We did this card for the Make and Take on the first day of March this year.  Seemed like a good way to start the month.

Best St. Paddy's Day

The good news about not sleeping is I can stamp until I'm tired.  Got a bunch of cards done in the quiet of the night.  This sentiment was stamped again with the Brillance Gamma Green onto the cream paper.  Tried out some Nestiblities on my Cuttle Bug.  Used a metal sheet from Memory Box that just came in the store and it worked like a charm for the shim.  Cut and embossed the pieces all at once.

Impression Obsession Card with Copics

Back with another card for Techniques I.  This time we are creating the background prints with the Cover a Card stamps.  Then we are inking this IO stamp and coloring it in with Copic markers.  Fun, fun, fun!
