Here's a variation on the card from yesterday.  I don't like doing multiple copies of a card.  But, I'm fine with doing slight variations and that way I'm still able to get a lot of cards done quickly.

Easter Card

We just got back from a quick trip.  Had to bang out some fast and easy Easter cards to get in the mail this week.  I headed straight to the printed paper pile, picked out a few stamps, added this sticker pop out butterfly, and went to work.  What you see here was mounted onto a Memory Box card.  Yea for quick and fast.  The word piece was sponged with a Color Box Chalk pad.

More Fun Stuff

We did more fun stuff on this card mixed with Antique Sand.  Our mermaid this time was colored with Copics.  Before embossing though, we tore our paper and layered it on.  The blue at the top is actually tissue paper that was stamped with the Stampendous Script background.  Then strips of the tissue were torn and bunched as it was placed on the card.  I love lots of texture, so you can imagine how much fun this card was for me to do. Hope you have enjoyed seeing some of the fun we had at the York Trade show.  I've put up samples in the store, and hope you can join me for the demo this month at Angela's Happy Stamper.  Think my demo of this fun stuff will be next week.

Fun Stuff from Stampendous

I will be demo-ing all the fun things you see on this card at Angela's Happy Stamper this month on our Tues. Demo days.  After coloring in the mermaid with the Irojetin pencils, embossing powder was layered onto the card.  Before heating, added paper scraps, mica flakes and glass glitter was also placed over the powder.  The card was heated from the bottom causing everything to stick to the melting embossing powder.  How fun is that?

Glazon/Stazon

Here are some samples of tag necklaces John had using the Stazon and Glazon.  We worked with the trasparent dyes, but as you can see, setting a base of opaque Stazon and adding layers of Glazon and more opaque Stazon works as well.  You can mix and match the opaque and transparent pads as well.

Apart from cards, we also did this book cover at the Trade Show.  This is a thin sheet of metal that was run through the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder.  Then a layer of Stazon was added.  Next, a layer of Glazon was spread on top and left to dry.  Once dry, you can layer on another Stazon color!.  We actually layered several layers of Glazon and color, allowing the glazon to dry between each layer.  You need Glazon because you normally can't mix Stazon colors on non porous surfaces since it is alcohol based.  Great fun!

Just Rite #3 Card

This is my favorite Just Rite card.  The set it's from has all sorts of words you can combine as a take off on the English phrase, "Keep calm and carry on".  The musical background is also by Just Rite.  They have begun making more backgrounds that are all cling and don't need to be used with their grooved handles.
