Personalized birthday Card

One of my little friends is turning eleven soon.  She is looking forward to it because in her family, at eleven, you can have a cola for the first time.  One of the great aspects of making cards is how I can personalize a card for a particular person.  I was very happy to add this image to the card for my friend.  The words are by Memory Box and were die cut twice.  Once with dark brown paper, and once with the lighter brown.  The dark helps the letters to show up against the printed background.

Lemonade card

Got together today with friends for a card crafting.  Haven't been able to do that for a while, so it was really a fun day for me to just sit and focus on cards.  This one is all from one set.  I made it to give to my husband. 

Canvas Bag

When Cheryl was at the shop, she was selling these canvas bags with her signature life saying.  I loved it and felt it was obviously begging to be colored.  (It was a plain white bag.)  I took some left over paint from doing the apron and added some stencil effects, and came up with this.  Hope Cheryl approves. 

Art Apron

Cheryl Biglioli was in town a few weeks back.  I was able to take a class with her where we created this art apron.  We stamped tissue paper with images and applied them to the apron.  At the time I wasn't able to paint the apron.  Finally had some time today to finish it up.  You can't see it, but above the heart it says "Live a colorful life".  This became my inspiration for painting.  Once it was all painted, I tried to create drips of blue from the top.  It wasn't going well, so just added the coating of blue around the top.  Was happy with how it turned out, and glad to have another art apron.  I am a mess magnet, as they call me at the shop!

Art Journaling

Here is the second weaving page.  On this page, printed paper by Bo Bunny was used.  The bird here is from the same Stampington set that the bird was part of for the page shown yesterday.  Hope you can join us.  There is a day and night class.  Call the store to see about availability.

Art Journal

Art Journal is coming up on Wednesday.  I've been wanting to work with some weaving, and I was pleased to find a way that makes it easy and relatively quick.  On this page Gelli prints were used and then a stamped bird was placed over top.  Another sample will be shown tomorrow.

Summer card

Here is another card I made with the summer paper.  One of the papers has summer words and images on it.  With these as the main focus of the card, the  papers were easy to mix and match.
