Dreamweaver Stencil Background

Oh, look at me sneaking in yet another spritzed card.  Was really happy with how this turned out.  On a white piece of paper the background stencil was placed.  Fireworks blue, yellow, green, and purple, and pink were used.  Fireworks have a metallic sheen to them that really show up well on this card.  Once dry, the hearts (which have also been spritzed) were added.  The small hearts were sponged with some of the purple ink that was also used in the corners of the card.  The words are by Printworks.

Memory Box Die Cut Valentine

My mother in law loves purple.  So purple it was when picking things out for this card for her.  Besides the die cut done to highlight the heart punch, a punch was used to create the wavy dots on the white piece.  The words and hearts on the bottom white piece were inked with a purple Versafine.

Give love card

I like doing Winter cards, and have really appreciated being able to combine winter with Valentine's Day this year.  This printed paper worked perfectly with this Darcy saying.  A couple of small hearts were punched out to go in the corners, and some red velvet ribbon was added with red line tape to complete the card.

Bo Bunny Card

This new paper from Bo Bunny has been very popular.  As you can see, it has lots of sparkle and shine to it.  There are several coordinating designs and several are used on this card.  Sorry about the sheen from the sticker.  Didn't realize the camera was causing such a bright reflection when the picture was being taken.  On the inside it says, "It's cold outside by thoughts of you warm my heart" done by Printworks.

Stencil and Sprays Card #7

We started this look at stencils and sprays by a card that used this plastic stencil.  All cards this week were done on white paper.  Today this stencil was used on colored card stock.  Light to medium colored card stock works really well with darker colored sprays.  It's hard to tell, but the words were stamped on cream colored paper and a Pewter Shimmer was spritzed over it.  When using sprays remember you want gravity to be your friend.  Don't spritzed facing down, but straight over your image into a Color Catcher box that sits up so your spray mostly goes into the wall of the box.  Hope you have enjoyed the ways to use sprays and stencils together this week.  Would love to know which card is your favorite.

Stencil and Sprays Card #6

A resist was created first on this card by embossing with white embossing powder the Hero Arts design element and the Memory Box heart.  Then each background color was spritzed one at a time on a teflon mat.  A sponge tool dipped in a color was then swiped across the paper.  The heart was added to a colored paper and cut out.  The words are by Printworks and were stamped in Versafine Black.

Stencils and Sprays Card #5

Two heart stencils were used to make this card.  The large heart was placed and then all outside parts were masked off with ;long post-it notes.  Three Fireworks sprays were used to color the heart.  Once dry, the stencil was removed along with the masks.  The small heart was then slightly overlapped onto the large heart.  More masks were placed around the open heart image and more spraying was done.  This was repeated each time the small stencil was repositioned.
