Punched out Leaves
Took a couple of leaf punches and punched out leaves to go on this card. Added some Chestnut Roan Colorbox Chalk to the edges of the leaves to help define the edges. Clumped them all together and added this panel to the front of the card. I think the words are by Verses. Two silk leaves were glued beside the saying. Am stretching myself with a continued used of bright colors on this card. Also mixed prints which is a challenge for me. Think it all worked. How are you challenging yourself to do something different? Would love to hear how your are stretching yourself to stamp in a new way.

Zentangle Nuts
After drawing and "zentangling" these acorns, thought I'd color them in. Two Copic markers were used for the coloring. They were then cut out and mounted on the circles with foam tape. The flourish is by Memory Box and the words are by Rosie's Road Show.

And now for something totally Cute
Took this little girl from My Favoriet Things and colored her with Copic markers. Then added her to this great paper from Graphic 45. The reverse makes the strip. Little bit of twine and we're all done.
The words are also by MFT. These two stamps come as a set.

Dream Card
This is another paper left over from another class I took. This time it was with MaryJo McGraw. She taught us how to layer up a paper with Eclipse tape, Color Box Chalk pads, and stamps. Really like the layered effect. Added some copper wire and a few glass beads which were wrapped around the card. "Dream" is a sticker.

Frantage and Fred
We had Fred Mullet here teaching classes a while back. Such fun! The paper was created in one of his classes with the use of sprays, stencils, and twinks. I had this piece of paper left over and thought it was time to put it to good use. The words are a Diane Wakey stamp by Stampington. It was inked with a Prussian Blue Color Box Chalk pad. So was the stamp by Paper Studio. Extra sprays were added to it as well. Finished off the card with Frantage Paper Pieces from Stampendous. I love the texture it gives to the card.

Fall Glitter Card
Glitter came right to mind with this branch from Memory Box. Once it was die cut, it was placed on a piece of double sided tape. Using a straw, translucent glitter was poured into the leaves. Then the champagne glitter was poured over the rest of the tape. An exacto knife was used on the bottom strip. Champagne and translucent glitter was added. To create color on the leaves and sections to the strip below the branch, Copics were used. Layered it all up and added the saying by Inkadinkado.

First Fall Card
Days are getting shorter, the air is a little cooler in the morning, and the kids are heading back to school. Does put me in the mood for fall. I pulled out this Hampton Arts leaf and embossed it with white embossing powder onto a white card. Then with the help of Momento colors, I sponged on the ink over the whole card. Liked the outcome so much I didn't want to cover any of it up! So the message (by Impression Obsession) was done on acetate with black Stazon ink. Used two copper brads to secure the acetate in place. Found colorful ribbon I had on hand to finish off the card. Seemed a good way to start off the coming season.

Impression Obsession Thank You card
Made this card to give to my friend who invited me to her beach house this summer. Am a bit tardy in getting it done, but she always tells me not to give her a thank you card, so am hoping this comes as a good surprise. The images were colored in with Copic Markers. The words are also by I.O. Added some shell brads to finish off the card.

Paris Cup Card Set
Sat down and finally put together a set of cards to give as a gift. All these cups came off of a 12X12 printed paper. I cut them apart and have been waiting to put them into a gift set for someone. Each one was mounted onto a tan base cardstock before being placed on the card. The Memory Box cards were enhanced with a leaf background from Impressions Obsession in a slightly darker pink. It was stamped off first, and parts were wiped with a towel before stamping onto the front of the card. Then the edges were sponged with a bright pink. The flourish was done with a die cut from Memory Box. The paper flowers were then added and to finish it all off, pink buttons were glued on and a pearl was added to the button. There are actually six cards to the set.

Ephemera with Impression Obsession Stamps
The lady on this card was from an advertisment for an art show in Paris several years back. Just knew it would make a great card. I finally paired it with these words from an Impression Obsession set I've had for a while but hadn't used. Thought it worked out perfectly. Inside the saying is finished with the phrase "and look around". Not sure who made the printed paper that is under the flyer.

Wobble Birthday Card
September birthday cards are almost done. On this one the bunny on the front was colored in with Copic markers and then attached to a self adhesive spring called a "wobble". It goes perfectly with the saying on the inside. The bunny set is by Cat's Pajamas.

Hero Arts College Card
Took stamps from a clear set by Hero and used some of the new colors of Momentos to create this card. Did do a little bit of masking. In the corners a VersaMagic Oaisis Green was sponged. It seemed a rather odd color combination with the brown, but think it worked out well. The tag was also part of the set and the printed paper is the reverse side of the background paper.

Friendship Card
Been getting a lot of mileage out of my scrap pile this week. Put these 3 printed papers together and added some satin ribbon, paper flowers, and a brad. The words are by PSX and were stamped with Versa Fine brown. It's been a busier week than I expected, so I have had to squeeze in a quick card each day. But, it feels good to be able to get atleast one done a day.

Happy Note With Paper Tape
Once again I used a template from Splitcoast Stampers to create this card. The red paper is the reverse side of the orange printed paper. The green dots are on paper tape. The words are by Impression Obsession. Notes are from Stampn'UP!. The notes are on circle punched out. Added a few orange buttons which were glued on with white glue. All of this was adhered to a dark brown paper.

September Birthday Card #2
Been working on more birthday cards for September. Used 3 pieces of printed paper and combined them together on this card. Added the tag and a big yellow button. Put the cupcake image into the center of the button and colored it in with Copic markers. I followed a Splitcoast template to make this card.

It's a gift-It's a card
My husband and I went away for the weekend to celebrate his birthday. Had a very nice time. I parceled out his gifts and cards over the weekend which he seemed to enjoy. His last gift was this card. The one thing he had asked for was a lottery ticket. Got him two for extra measure. They were attached to the front of the card by folding them in half and sliding them under the punched out candles. Slightly overlaid on the candles was a white strip of paper which the word "wish" was stamped several times. The word is from a birthday set by Cat's Pajama's. Layered up on the bottom of the card with some bright printed paper I had in my scrap pile. I was glad he liked the card 'cause the numbers were a complete bust.

September Birthday Card
Got all my cards done for August birthdays, so have moved on to working on September birthdays. The message was stamped on cream paper and "Antique Linen" Distress ink was sponged around the circle. The circle was punched with a Marvy purple punch and fit perfectly in the red Sizix circle. The red circle was done on the Cuttle Bug machine since it is a die cut. Added a piece of grosgrain ribbon and some paper flowers with pearls and it's all set. Oh, and I did add a little tone of brown to the flowers by sponging on some "Taupe" from a Brillance pad.

Graphic 45 Card
The blue paper here I believe is actually by Basic Grey, but the images are from Graphic 45. Just cut them and created a college togther with the items. The tag piece has some raffia strung through the holes. Needed a quick card and this filled the bill.

Glitter Butterfly
This butterfly by Stampington was inked with Stazon ink and stamped on acetate. The backside of the acetate has adhesive on it. Blue and purple glitter were sprinkled on it. The leaf is by Impression Obsession and was inked with a green dye ink. The butterfly was attached with a piece of double foam tape. The words are by MSE.

Poem Card
Love this little poem by Sara Teasdale. It is all one stamp. Sponged some Distress ink on the words and then layered behind with paper scraps and paper flowers. Some antique lace was also used. This is why I love old things. When I look at them they bring to mind a good memory.

Paper Tape Card
Found some fun paper tape at Michaels. It had 3 tapes together. A slim black strip, the musical score, and the birds on a wire. The top of this preprinted card was coverd with cream paper and the paper strips were placed over the paper. The "little birdie" phrase is a stamp by Impressions Obsessions as is the bird. The bird was cut out and layered over a feather. The cream paper and the black paper were punched out with Marvy punches.

New Paper
We have been getting in a ton of new papers at Angela's Happy Stamper. One of my job hazards is having to make room for it all. It's a hazard because I am handling all that pretty paper! Can't help but take a few for myself. Here is a card with some of these beautiful fall flowers. I love the soft colors.
Patchwork card
Took some strips of printed paper and place them onto a strip of double sided adhesive tape. Enhanced the background of this card with a background stamp from Impression Obsession and purple ink by Versa Fine. The circle was cut with a Sizzix die cut and Memory Box paper. Add a stick pin with some ribbon, and then finished off the card with an I.O. message stamp.

Paper Clip Sun Card
DRS has great stamps for every birthday month. Used the August one for a friend and paired it with yet another paper clip from Staples. Tied a ribbon to it and glued it onto the card. The paper is by Memory Box. Will have to bubble wrap this to send it through the mail.

Art Impressions Card
Boy, can I relate to these ladies! I've been changing my eating habits, exercising on a regular basis, and yet when I step on the scale it seems to either stay where it has been,or it seems to go up! Can't seem to get it down past a certain weight, and it's not the weight I would like it to be-especially with my efforts. I have a friend who is struggling with the same problem that I have, so I thought this card might be an encouragement to her and might even put a smile on her face.
This is all one stamp and was colored in with Copic markers. Two punches were used. A corner punch and a tab punch.

Die cut Card
Wanted to use this new saying from Impressions Obsessions. It seemed perfect to use with Memory Box's half winged butterfly die cuts. The paper is also by Memory Box. The words were stamped with a Versa Fine Black pad so they would show up well on the printed paper.

Wobbles Road Trip
Love the Ladies series from Art Impressions. Hadn't used this one before and thought it would be perfect to use with a "Wobble". A "wobble" is a pre adhered spring you stick on an item that you want to jiggle off of your card. The ladies are colored in with Copic markers and cut out and adhered to the circle. The circle is on top of an actual old road map. The yellow signs are stickers I picked up somewhere. "Road trip" is also a stamp by Imaginice. I printed in the Latin phrase for "sieze the day" on the front license plate.

Cuttle Bug Metallic Wedding Card
Why do people get married in August? It's hot, it's muggy, it's really hot...Not conducive for lovely pictures or wearing long gowns. I'm just sayn'. Anyways, against all logic, I've got weddings to make cards for this month. This first one was done on a metallic blue card. I usually just fold a card and crease it with a bone folder. However with metallic paper I find it is best to score the paper first, and then crease it. Looks much better. The printed paper was run through the Cuttle Bug with a Stampn'UP! die cut. The heart was punched from a paper that used the script embossing folder. The words on the front are by MSE and were inked with a blue metallic ink. Metallic is a little hard to photograph. Think this looks better in person.

Honey Pop Birthday Card
Inky Antics has been busy putting out new stamps and paper to go with their Honey Pop series. I can't seem to resist them! Only trouble is, I have been better about collecting them than using them. But, I dug out this birthday set to make another card for my hubby's birthday. Since the cake is for a guy, I chose the peach colored paper. More to come since I'm adding to my "collection".
