Joy Card

No embossing today! This is a variation of the card I sent for Christmas last year. Rubber Stamp Tapestry does this set. The word is one stamp, and then 3 other peg stamps are used to create the folage. It was all done with pigment and dye inks.

Rubberstamp Tapestry Spring Card

It's raining and warmer today, and the stink bugs are back, so I'm claiming it's early spring! And here's a card to celebrate it. This card was made with an accu-cut die to creat the circle and the overlay. The flower set comes on pegs which you stamp to create the scene or, in this case, a wreath. The words are from the same company so they fit well with the wreaths you can create. Dye or pigment inks can be used, but just test them first to see how it looks. I used both on this card. A little bit of glitter glue was added at the end.

Rubberstamp Tapestry Joy Card

This is my card for this year. I broke all my well learned rules for producing a mass card for Christmas. Got so enthralled with making this card "just right" that by the time I thought "yes, that's it", this card had way too many parts for as many cards as I needed. The black background stamp is a Hero Arts stamp, the rest is a set by Rubberstamp Tapestry. Joy is one stamp, and then the leaves, and flora are two other stamps, and the berries, another stamp. I did each part separately and then put everything together, but really, I lost my mind when deciding to do this for every one. The card had to be cut, white piece for the background, the two black pieces, the red piece,the word piece, a ribbon which was applied with a strip of red tape to hold it which also was cut to size. I managed to complete about 45 cards, and then gave up and bought store cards for my husband's list of folks. On some of the cards that weren't mailed, I put red gems on the berries, for those mailed, red glitter glue was used, and that's what you see on this card. Back to simple for next year, and I'm starting in January-really! If you want to make me feel better, please leave me a comment telling me how you like it. Rubberstamp Tapestry Thanks

This is a great time of year to be using the wreaths you can make with Rubberstamp Tapestry sets. This set is a good one for the holidays. I used it for a thank you card, but it could make a good Thanksgiving day card or Christmas card. Each image is on an individual stamp peg, so you create the wreath. Some of the images were done with a gold metalic pad. The rest were done with dye ink pads. A gold Krylon pen was run over the edges of the white paper before mounting it onto the card.

Autumn wishes

I became familiar with the Accucut machine while teaching. We have one at the store and I used it to create the circles within the card. It also cut the printed paper to size as well. There are a lot of options for die cutting shapes these days. On the white circle I stamped out images from one of the leaf sets from Rubber Stamp Tapestry using dye based inks for each image. It always goes amazingly quickly. Overlapping on images doesn't detract at all. The words are also from the same company. The printed paper is from Lasting Impressions.

seashore card

I'm back home after a wonderful week at Cape Cod. I love the beach and sea where ever I can find it. I made this card earlier this summer when Hare and I were at Assateauge. Stickers were combined with stamps from a Rubber Stamp Tapestry set. The stamps in the sets are mounted on pegs so you can create scenes and fabulous borders and wreaths. I used the shells to accent the stickers and stamped them with dye based inks. The one sticker is wrapped with twine.
