Well, it only took two weeks and a new computer, but here I am! Hope you all had a good holiday. Now it's tis the season of "Thank yous". Since I need numerous cards,I wanted to keep it simple. Using strips of Memory Box paper, all I needed to add was the words in black dye ink in the corner. Quick and easy.

Variation of Paper Cut Card
Since I liked many elements to the Paper Cut card last posted, thought I'd try a variation of that card. This time another Memory Box stamp was used. It was inked in black and colored in with Copic Markers and cut out and applied over a cream paper that had inked with a Hero Arts print background. The paper was then colored with a sponge applicator using Color Box Creamy brown, and an Orange dye ink. On the green part, a Great Impressions leaf stamp was inked with a Color box green and stamped twice. "Fabulous Fall" is from a clear set.

Who Rocks?
Have a friend who plays guitar and writes her own songs. So this card came together pretty quickly for her. Seemed very appropriate for a birthday card for her. The penquin is by Memory Box and was stamped in black. Extra coloring was done with Copic Markers. The scallop was edged with red dye ink sponged on. Rock on, Sally!

Bear wishes
Got some bear cards I've been working on. This first one is by Memory Box. It was stamped in black dye ink onto a white card. It was punched out with a Marvy blue punch. Then a pink scallop punch was used on the orange paper. The backgound paper is also Memory Box. "Bright wishes" is by Printworks. A little bit of orange glitter glue was added to the end of the sparklers.

Memory Box flower card
This card was a happy accident. The background had been stamped some time ago with a large rectangular solid stamp onto the cream paper. I came across it the other night and figured this image by Memory Box would stamp well over it. The flowers were colored in with markers. The script was inked with a Dew Drop black dye ink. Unfortunately, once stamped, the red of the flowers was slightly smeared. Rather than throw it away, I pulled out a resevoir pen filled with water and continued to pull color from the flower. Did the same to the plants and even some of the background. The ink was then heat set and a litte glimmer was added to the petals with a Starlight pen. The whole piece was then distressed along the edges with Tim Holtz's Distress tool. A Martha Stewart punch was used on the orange paper. The metal words are a sticker.

Thank You Card
Was using up some more scrap paper the other day. Took several pieces of Memeory Box paper and mounted them on squares. Also took a 6X6 background paper and mounted it onto a dark purple paper, then mounted that onto a lavender card. Not sure why this lavender color doesn't show up well when I photo it. Looks more blue here than it really is in person. Laid a piece of lace I found at an flea market over the paper. Then the squares overlapped the background paper and lace. Used a Stampn'Up! "thank you" stamp in the center piece. It was stamped with a Versa Magic Lavender pad. Ran some waxed thread through the buttons and attached with a white glue. Love the white glue because it dries invisible.

Cherry Blossoms Card
Found out this week that the cherry blossoms will be blooming later this month. Cherry festival is set as well! We do love our cherry blossoms here in the DC area. Loved this cherry blossom washi paper and it made a great background paper for this Memory Box stamp. The stamp was inked with black dye ink and colored in with Copic markers. Then tiny pink gems were added to the blossoms. The pink satin ribbon goes around the front of the card and an additonal piece was tied around the ribbon to make the bow. The card is by Memory Box as well.
