Inspiration Card

Ok, here's a card I like. The foundation of the card is the black, white on the inside, and the green. It all came in a set from Paper Cut. Paper Cut provides tons of great precut cards in a multiude of color combinations. It really cuts down on assembly time when card creating. The image is by Memory Box and was stamped in black, then colored in with Copic Markers. It was then cut out and placed on the orange paper which was glued to the inside white piece. The words are hard to read. It says, "Today's mighty oak is just yesteday's nut that held its ground." Love that quote and think it paired up well with the image.

My lovely lady by Rubber Moon is one I really enjoy doing in the fall. She was colored in with Copic markers. The corners were sponged with a Momento Orange. Under the image is a ribbon that says "Thankful and grateful". Unfortunately, the words didn't show well with the flash. She also was mounted onto a paper bag card.

Angela's Birthday Card

Oh my! I can finally post the card I gave Angela for her birthday. We have been having an on going progression of problems not the least of which is the internet suddenly going out- and that was about two weeks ago. Am very happy to be back on line. As to the card, the bras are all one stamp. It was inked in black and stamped onto a white card and colored in with Copic markers. On a piece of vellum that has sparkels on it, the words were stamped in black. The vellum was overlaid on to the image. All this was then mounted onto the red paper and then onto the card.

Who Rocks?

Have a friend who plays guitar and writes her own songs. So this card came together pretty quickly for her. Seemed very appropriate for a birthday card for her. The penquin is by Memory Box and was stamped in black. Extra coloring was done with Copic Markers. The scallop was edged with red dye ink sponged on. Rock on, Sally!

A Treat Card

This lady from Rubbermoon is one I enjoy using for a variety of occassions. Here it makes a nice Halloween card. The image was stamped with a Momento black and colored in with Copic markers. The words are by Amuse. A light orange was sponged around the edges of the card.

Rain card

This isn't the card I made Angela for her birthday, but it sure would have fit the day-or actually the whole week. I was watching most of the bad weather from my Dad's hospital bed. Had an unexpected week in PA right in the middle of all the bad weather. Finally got to come home today so now I'm starting to catch up. Still need to take Angela out for her birthday and will post the card I actually gave her after she gets it.

Stampscapes Anniversary Card

My husband and I will be celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary soon. This may not seem much like an anniversary card, but this scripture means a lot to my husband and me, so I think he'll actually like it. The scene was all stamped with Momento black using the road and the 3 trees. Color was then added using a stylis tool, some Copics, and some colored pencils. Once the color was added, the birds were stamped last. The scripture verse is by Stamp Mania.

Spring Birthday Card

This may look like an Easter card, but it's not. It's birthday card for my sister in law. The saying stamped in side says, "You're still a Spring chick!" The stamp was inked with a black Momento pad and colored in with Copic markers. The a little bit of glitter was added to the top of the daisy. It seemed to go well with the glitter in the printed paper.

Lilac Card

This is one of my favorite spring stamps. It's by PSX and was stamped in black and then colored in with Copic markers. What is hard to see in the photo is that after coloring it in, loose glitter was added with the use of a glue pen. At the bottom of the card is a multi colored organza ribbon that was gathered across the card with the use of a piece of red line tape. At the end of each side of the ribbon are two large purple self adhesive gems that cover up the sight of the tape. Hope you are enjoying all the beauty of all that's blooming this spring.

Cat Birthday Card

Been able to get some of the cards needed for all those March birthdays. This one is for a friend who lives a very busy life. Inside it says, "Hoping you have a purr-fect birthday". Am hoping this makes her smile. The cat was stamped in Memento Black and then color was added with Copic markers. On the top of the cat's tummy, the orange pen was stroked on and then "feathered" out slightly. Then taking the bleach pen over the orange, it lightend the color and blended it smoothly.

Melinda's Card

Have you started on your Valentines yet? Yeah, me neither. So, I thought I'd post this lovely card by Melinda. Love how it's clean and simple yet so effective. I did make my list of folks I'd like to send a valentine to last night, but that's as far as I got. I know lots of folks don't like Valentine's day because they see it as a "romantic" holiday. Guess all those years as an elementary teacher gives me a different perspective. I see this as a day to let anyone you love know you think they are special to you. Out of all the holidays Valentine's day was the party the kids looked the most forward to. Oh, the power of those little cards! So why don't you send some to folks who don't expect it? I'm sure it'll put a smile on their faces.

Native American Copic Card

My sister-in-law loves anything to do with Native Americans so I made this card for her for Thanksgiving. Can't remember the company, but I enjoyed making this card. She is colored in with Copic markers on a coated paper. The front cover of the card is short, but the maiden covers the inside saying. The whole card is then mounted onto a piece of black cardstock paper. Got the feathers in a bag at the local box craft store. Am off to go teach at Angela's Happy Stamper store. One more class after this and then I'm done for the rest of this year. Have been planning the schedule for next year, though, so will post those classes soon.

Tip #25

Going to be seeing my brother tomorrow which is the inspiration for this post. This is another great group of stamps from Eat Cake Graphics. I know all little sisters can relate to this card. The images were stamped with a black Momento pad and then colored in with Copic markers. The edges were sponged with some orange from the Distress pad Marmalade. The Momento pad is great at stamping images clearly and evenly, and you can color right away without having to heat set it.
