Stampscapes Peace Card

This was the card I designed for our last make and take at Angela's Happy Stamper. Seemed a good one for the end of the year. All that was needed was the one church stamp which was inked in blue Versa Fine. It was then punched with the oval Mega Giga punch by Marvy. More blue was sponged on around the edges and sky. This was placed on an oval Nestabilites which was cut on the Cuttlebug. The words were inked in the same blue ink. The star is a die cut by Memory Box. A touch of irridescent glitter glue was added to the center of the star.

Scenic Route

This seemed a good card to show as we head into a new year. 2011 was not hard to leave behind for me. Of course, one doesn't always know what is ahead, but, I like the message this card says. As much as possible, enjoy the beautiful things as we journey through life. This card is a retirement card my husband asked me to make for a colleague who worked on roads in the national parks. All stamps are by Stampscapes and were inked in black Versafine ink. Once the images were placed, the color was added with the stylis tool. The color on the road was created with Copic markers. Sorry, can't remember who makes the saying. On the inside "Happy trails" is stamped in black.

Stampscapes Winter Church Card

Have you tried using Ampersand's stampboards? They have a partical board back with a white chalky surface perfect for stamping. On this card 1 inch squares are used. They were initally pushed together and the image was stamped on. A little gray was added to the church, and lots of blue the the corners. A scratch tool then takes off the color and the white shows through. The star was scratched over the church. All you do is add adhesive tape and adhere the squares to the card. Makes a special Christmas card that can be counted as a gift!

Starry Night Stampscapes Card

More embossing! This time I started by taking the starry sky stamp and stamping it with a blue pad in the middle of the card. The edges of the card were sponged in with more blues. Then the branches were embossed with a twinkling white embossing powder. Then trees were then stamped again in blue to give some depth to the card. Some of the stars were enhanced with a glitter pen. This was all done on a white glossy card which was then adhered to a very dark blue paper.

Nightscapes Waterfall card

Been checking my calendar and starting to schedule my fall classes. This is a card we do in my Nightscapes class. Watch for postings soon. The card has a total of 6 images. Some of the color was done with colored pencils, some with ink pads and the stylis tool. Extra highlights were added with a white pen and also the Stardust pen. Pathway Stampscapes

Was really pleased with how this card turned out. It was very similar to the anniversary card I gave my husband. That's one of the nice aspects of Stampscapes. Once you have figured out the basics to a scene, you can do it repeatedly, changing it up by adding slightly different features or colors.

Stampscapes Deer in the Sun

Ready for something not "beachy"? Think this was the first Stampscapes card I did with Copic markers. Found they mix together very nicely. The image was created with six images from Stampscapes all set down in black dye ink. Then the color was added. The colors were layered up as needed to get the effect I wanted. Think I did about five different colors just on the water. Additional color was added to the sky with a sponge applicator and a yellow dye pad. You can do this card yourself by taking my Dayscapes class. I've been on break over the summer from doing classes. Watch soon for listings for the fall.

Stampscapes Glossy Black Card

Over the metallic ink pads in the store at Angela's Happy Stamper, you'll find this card. It was done on black glossy paper with a Starlight silver Brillance pad. The ink must be applied carefully, but once heat set, it looks great and is permenant. The bush stamped was inked once, but stamped twice. Same with the flock of birds. A solid circle was used for the moon.

Summer Scene

This looks like a Stampscapes card. However, these are all stamps I've accrued over the years and I'm not even sure who made them, except for the clouds which are by Stampscapes. But they all went together well to make this summer scene. The color was first added to the glossy paper with a brayer and a multicolored pad. Then the stamps were inked with a black dye base ink pad. A quick and easy card to do.

Summer Stampscapes Card

Are you enjoying your summer? We had a nice family celebration over the weekend. Dinner was on my sister-in-law's porch. It was a very pleasant evening which we all enjoyed on her farm setting. So I'm sharing one of the cards we do in my "Dayscapes" class. It looks a lot like where we were this weekend. All stamps were by Stampscapes. The trees were masked before the pond was added. All images were stamped with Momento black. Then the color was added with a stylis tool. A variety of colored pads were used. After the color was added, a white pen was used on the tree to enhance the image.

Stampscapes Anniversary Card

My husband and I will be celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary soon. This may not seem much like an anniversary card, but this scripture means a lot to my husband and me, so I think he'll actually like it. The scene was all stamped with Momento black using the road and the 3 trees. Color was then added using a stylis tool, some Copics, and some colored pencils. Once the color was added, the birds were stamped last. The scripture verse is by Stamp Mania.

Stampscapes Father's Day Card

Now that Mother's Day is over, guess it is time to start thinking ahead to Father's Day. Haven't done a Stampscapes card in a while, so thought I'd show one I did for Father's day. All images were stamped with a black Momento pad onto white glossy paper. The first image stamped was the very large water stamp. Didn't use the whole image, just the part that was needed for the card. Next came the trees, and then the ship (which is by B Line Designs) Color was added with the use of a stylis tool and a bunch of dye base ink pads. Lighter colors were laid down first, and then darker on top. Lots of layers of colors here. The sky was done the same way. Then a white pen was added to various spots to accent the piece. "Oceans of love " was added last, and is by Posh Impressions.

Black Glossy Night scene

It's been a snowy winter. In fact, on the news last night they said 49 states have snow. Amazing. So glad we aren't the winners of snow this year. Last year made a big impact that I'm still feeling. But it sure can be pretty! So here's a Stampscapes card we did in my Winterscapes class as a tribute to the beauty of snow. (In the mountains where it should be.) Enjoy.

Northern Lights

Had a great class yesterday at Angela's Happy Stamper store. We did "Winterscapes" and this is one of the cards. Must say, the all the ladies (some who had never worked with Stampscapes before) did a fantastic job. This card wasn't hard, just took time. We started with a white glossy card and did a whole lot of coloring with the stylis tool! Lots of layers of colors! If you want to learn more about Stampscapes, I have an intro to Stampscapes coming up at the end of the month at Angela's. The cards are up at the store if you want to see what you'll learn. Must say, there's no card you'll feel better satifaction having accomplished than a Stampscapes card.

Winterscapes card

Finally put up my classes for January on this blog. Of course, I have forgotten how to link it to the actual class description on Angela's Happy Stamper web site, so I'll have to bribe Laura into coming over and showing me how to do that (again). But, at least the dates are up, and you can go on over Angela's and take a peek if you are interested. And this is one of the cards we do in Winterscapes. It's not hard to do, and I think it really looks wintery. Hey, how do you like the new background to the blog? I did finally figure out how to change that-yea for me! I'm a slow learner, but I eventually get it!

Stampscapes White Night

Hadn't posted a stampscapes card in a while so thought today would be a good day. This is one of the cards we do in "Nightscapes", one of the classes I teach at Angela's Happy Stamper store here in Virgiania. This is a quick, easy card using only three stamps and a white pigment pad. Just ink and stamp! The trees and rowboat are by Stampscapes. The moon is just a small shadow circle stamp.
