Questionable card #2

Ok, here is the other card I'm asking for input on. Does it seem done? What should I add or change? I'll respond back to any who care to comment.

Favorite Couple card

Went back to an old favoite for this birthday card. The couple is by Eat Cake stamps, and the saying is by Art Impressions. Wouldn't you think they were actually made for each other? The couple were colored in with Copic Markers and the image and words were stamped with Momentos black.

Merry Christmas Card

We did this card as a Make and Take at the store last week. Wanted to show how simple a card can be and still look nice. This stamp is by Hero Arts. It was inked with Momento Bamboo green dye ink. Then the lights were colored in with Copic Markers. The white card was glue to the green and you are ready to go!

PA wedding card

We're invited to a wedding this month is PA. I'm thinking of using this card. It looks very Pennsylvania Dutch to me. The stamp is by Lockhart, and was stamped in black on cream paper. Then color was added with Copic markers. Adhesive gems were added as well as a pink pearl. Simple and sweet.

Stampscapes Deer in the Sun

Ready for something not "beachy"? Think this was the first Stampscapes card I did with Copic markers. Found they mix together very nicely. The image was created with six images from Stampscapes all set down in black dye ink. Then the color was added. The colors were layered up as needed to get the effect I wanted. Think I did about five different colors just on the water. Additional color was added to the sky with a sponge applicator and a yellow dye pad. You can do this card yourself by taking my Dayscapes class. I've been on break over the summer from doing classes. Watch soon for listings for the fall.

I''m a hotty Card

For those of us of a certain age, we can chuckle at this card with knowing appreciation. The lady is by Art Impressions and was inked with Momento black and colored in with Copic markers. The word stamp I think is by Rivercity known for their sense of humor. Printed paper is by Graphic 45.

Flower Soft Window Card

I really like this stamp by Impression Obsession. It was colored to look like one of the many window boxes I saw on Martha's Vineyard. When we were at Cape May, I saw a store with window boxes that looked like I had used them as my inspiration for this card. The image was stamped with Momento Black and then colored in with Copic pens. The Flower Soft yellow was added to the center of the petal flower, and then the Ultra fine green flower soft went on last. The punch for the white under the window is a Fisker's punch.

Bunny Trails

My hubby needed another farewell card and this one seemed to work. The bunny is part of a clear set by Cat's Pajamas. It was stamped in black and colored in with Copic markers. Then a light gray marker was used to outline the whole image. The pink paper was punched with a Fisker's border punch. The oval was brushed on the edge with a pink pad.

Kitty Father's Day Card

Cats are our only babies, so for Father's day one year I gave this card to my husband. The image actually only has the one small cat on his stomach, so after inking the image with a black Momento dye pad and stamping it on the paper, I reinked the little cat and stamped it onto a piece of sticker paper. The images were colored in with Copic markers. The sticker cat was then cut out and placed beside the big cat. The Father's Day words are by Inkadinkado and were stamped in Versa Fine.

Lockhart Mother's Day card

We'll be going up to celebrate Mother's Day a little early with Ray's mom today. She loves violets so when I saw this stamp I knew it would be perfect for her. After stamping it with a Momento pad, it was colored in with Copic markers and then a touch of irridescent glue was added to the center of each flower. Marvy punches were used to punch out the circles. Hope you all have a good Mother's day.

Pulling for you Card

Just sent this card to a friend who is battling cancer. It's a long process, so sending get well cards seems inappropriate. When I saw this set by MSE, I knew this would make a good card for folks, like my friend, working through a long term illness. The grass was stamped with a green dye based ink. The rest of the image was stamped with Momento black and then colored in with Copic pens.

Birthday Card

Well now that the "love" holiday is over I'm really ready to do St. Patty cards. I love doing them. It's something about all those yummy greens after a long winter. However, I'm having to remind myself that March has turned into mega birthday month for me. Think there is something like six birthdays I need to get ready for this month, so first-onto birthday cards. Here's one that at least has green in it, so this somewhat abates my need for green. The stamp is by Printworks and was stamped in black and colored in with Copic markers. It's hard to see, but on the orange is a glaze pen which creates a slightly raised surface when dry. The candle flame was also covered with a glitter pen so it has a sparkle sheen which also doesn't show up well in the photo. The green paper has a design on it, but it is a printed paper that was cut to fit on the card. After wrapping the ribbon around the card and making a bow, the button was attached with a piece of waxed thread that was threaded through the button and tied around the bow.

Birthday cake Card

Happy New Year! I'm starting the year with a birthday cake. This image is by Printworks. It was stamped with dye base black ink and then colored in with Copic markers. The whole image was outlined with Cool Grey. A little bit of the stardust pen was then added to the flame to give just a hint of sparkle. Then it was layered onto printed paper on then onto the cardstock. A little bit of ribbon to finish it off. Can't go wrong with organsa ribbon. Looks good, ties nicely, and travels well in an envelope.

Amuse Angel

White cards for the holiday is a bit of stretch for me. It's just not the color I naturally gravitate towards. But, I think this card works pretty well. And, happily, it is a simple card to do. The printed paper is by Amuse as well. The angel was punched out with a Marvy punch that you can see are made to stack well. The next size up in a scallop was used for the red. A little satin ribbon was wrapped around and taped and there you are! Copics Cool gray was used to outline the angel and a red and brown and flesh tone were used to comlete the coloring. The words are also by Amuse and stamped with a red Versafine ink.

Hero tree with vellum

This tree is by Hero Arts. It was colored in with Copic markers. To help enhance the tree, yellow was sponged over the tree. On the side is a piece of vellum. A Great Impression stamp was stamped on the vellum. Color was added on the backside of the vellum with markers. Tompbo makes a great glue stick that you can use with vellum which will dry clear. That was how the vellum was attached to the card.

Welcome card

So do you know the history of the pineapple? It is a symbol of "welcome" that the captins in the 1800's would use. When home from a voyage, they would post a pineapple on their gates so folks would know they were home and could come visit. I made two cards this week for folks in new homes. Sent this card to one of them as a welcome into their new home. The pineapple is by Impressions Obsessions, and I colored it in with Copic markers. Did pretty well on the pinapple, but think I needed to do more dark shading on the leaves. Learning to shade is a work in progress for me.

Embossed Fall Wreath

Ever have one of the cards you are just immensely please with? This is one of those cards for me. Using an old favorite stamp by PSX, I first embossed it with brown embossing powder and then colored in the fruit with Copic markers. I've colored this wreath many different ways, but Copics really did the trick for giving the best effect. The image was then mounted onto printed paper by Graphic 45. The ribbon is a satin ribbon which always give a rich, full look to a card and ties nicely. I sent this to a dear friend in hopes to brighten her day.

Sweet Tree

This card may seem labor intensive, but I did one color at a time and it wasn't too bad. When you do cards in the middle of the night though, some things can be missed. Owl and friends

What do you do when you can't sleep? I find it's best to get up and go do something else. I like making cards. It helps to clear my head, and when I get tired I then go to bed happy because I've done something fun. Last night I started on Halloween cards. The images here were stamped with a Momento pad and colored in with Copic markers. I also added some color around the edge of the images by sponging it on.

birthday card for a bibliophile

Bought a book at Costco the other day. I sat down yesterday and started it. Think I have 1 more chapter to read. My problem is that when I start a book it's hard to put it down. I like getting books at Costco not only for the price, but because they had a very limited supply. It's certain death if I walk into a book store-especially if they have a sale section. I walk out with so many books you'd think there must be some magnetic force between books and me. It's like attach themseleves me! But, that's what it's like to be a bibliophile. I am not alone with this condition. This is a card for a fellow book lover who had a birthday this month. If you have a book fanatic in your life, this Amuse stamp will come in handy.
