Was anxious to try the glitter and shimmer paper as a Halloween card. Think this turned out pretty well. The pumpkins are stickers from Stampendous and were applied to yellow shimmer paper. The shimmer paper was then placed on some double stick tape with enough sticker left so the black glitter would show. This was then layered onto the orange and then the striped paper, orange, and then the black card. Black glitter flourish brads were added to the corners.

Bright birthday bling

Got the glitter back out for this card. It was started with a cupcake sticker placed on a white paper. Twinkling H2O's were used to color in the cupcake. Then more small dot stickers were added to the cake. This was cut out and placed on a piece of sticker tape. Irridescent glitter was poured over the rest of the tape. The tape was adheared to another piece of white paper. The shimmery paper was embossed on the Cuttle Bug with the birthday folder. It was lightly sanded and attached to the card. Then the white piece with the cupcake was attached to the shimmery paper.

Butterfly bling

This butterfly is actually a sticker. It was placed on the shinny blue paper. Dot stickers were added to give the blue sparkle. The butterfly was cut out and put on more sticker paper. Black glitter was placed around the butterfly. The sticker paper was then mounted onto a piece of black paper and this was glued onto more shimmery paper. The shimmery paper had been embossed with a Cuttle bug folder.
The shimmery paper was then glued to the black card.

Ultra Fine Beach Card #2

One last beach card. This image was posted a few days ago on a bright orange card along with a colorful ribbon. Today's image gives a much cooler feeling. Once again the image was stamped with Stazon on the front of the acetate. The glitter was added to the sticky side and attached to a blue piece of paper which was glued onto the shimmery blue paper. Extra color was added to the front of the image with Copic markers. The shimmery paper was place onto double sided sticky paper which had the top peel removed. More irridescent glitter was added to the remaining edge around the sticky paper. Then the back peel was removed and the piece was palced on the card. The word stamp was also inked with Stazon and placed under the image on the shimmery paper. This will be the last beach card I'll be showing for now. If you haven't been to the shore this summer, hope these cards have helped give you a "virtual" vacation.

Ultra Fine Glitter Beach Card

I liked the orange card and bright ribbon so much on yesterday's card I used them again for this card. The main image is by Stampendous Stamps. It was inked with a Stazon pad onto the acetate. The acetate is sticky on the back. Using a post-it note, the image was masked except for where I needed to place one color of glitter. Once poured on, it was rubbed in to ensure it was secure. Then the post-it was moved so the next color could be added. Copper, blue, and iridescent glitters were used. Once all the color glitter was on, double stick tape was applied and then a blue paper was placed over the tape. This was then positoned onto a white piece before being added to the card. Extra color was added to the tree leaves, tree trunk, and the umbrella with Copic markers. I had to be extra careful using them so they wouldn't bleed with the black Stazon ink. "Dream" is a metal sticker.

July Birthday Card

A firecracker seemed to fit for July birthday card.
The image is by American Arts and is lightly colored in with a blue pencil. The sparkle at the top was applied on top of tacky glue from a Sailor pen one color at a time. The word stamp was inked with a blue Versafine pad.

Have a Blast

Been stretching myself with the use of glitter lately. Found this great sparkely ribbon which goes perfectly on this card at Michaels. The stamp (from Peddler's Pack) was inked with a black Versafine and cut out. A fine glue pen was traced over where the red glitter was to go. Then the glitter was applied. The process was repeated for the blue glitter, and then for the yellow glitter. The sparkely stars are stickers. Inside is a saying from Stampendous that says "have a blast!"

Angela's Glitter and Shine class

Took a class with Angela last week that covered the new glitter we recently got in and this great shimmer paper. The glitter works a little differently than other glitters, and this shimmer paper (as was done for this card) can be embossed. This is one of the cards we did in her class. Just talked to her yesterday and found out she plans to do another class with new cards. Yea! Be sure to look for that. We had a grand time and I learned a lot about how to use these new products.
