God Bless America

Hope you all have a fun forth. It's one of my favorite holidays. Today the card was made with canvas stickers that were distressed with a light brown dye pad. They are self adhesive, so all I had to do was peel and stick. The rusty tin star was added with foam tape.

Home of the Brave

At the store there is not only patriotic paper, but cut outs that make for a very quick card. I used some to make this card. How easy is that? All I had to do is glue them on. Now I'm off to mail this for the holiday.

Have a Blast

Been stretching myself with the use of glitter lately. Found this great sparkely ribbon which goes perfectly on this card at Michaels. The stamp (from Peddler's Pack) was inked with a black Versafine and cut out. A fine glue pen was traced over where the red glitter was to go. Then the glitter was applied. The process was repeated for the blue glitter, and then for the yellow glitter. The sparkely stars are stickers. Inside is a saying from Stampendous that says "have a blast!"

Patriotic Decorative Tree

This is an old Stampn' Up! set that I still enjoy using. It can be used for numerous holidays. Here it's obviously ready for the 4th of July. The trinkets were stamped with dye pads and cut out and mounted onto the tree with double foam mounting tape so there is some dimension to the card. Raffia was tied around the top to help complete the country look to the card. Decorative scissors made the navy paper have its distinct design. A pad was run around the edges of the brown paper to finish off the card.

Patriotic Card

We've got some nice patriotic paper and supplies at the store. I took some paper and made this card. The stamp was inked in blue and a red gem was added there as well. The circles were punched with Marvy circle punches. The two blue stars are actually wooden buttons. Think I'll go pull out my 4th of July decorations today and start decorating. This card put me in the mood.

Patriotic Card

Maybe it's because we live so close to DC, but I really enjoy sending folks cards that celebrate the Fourth of July. We have lots of celebrations here as you can imagine. This card uses a great printed vellum bacground which was placed over a white paper to help make the image pop. The stamps are by Stampendous and were inked in black. The coloring was done with various markers including a gold pen. The sparkler was enhanced with some red glitter glue.
